Our first trip to WDW is in 3 days, flying out Friday a.m. I was just wondering, where can I find information on what I'm not allowed to pack when flying.

I was told just not to bring any perfume, big bottles of shampoo, hairspray...etc.

Does anyone know of a list or where I can find info on what's safe to pack when flying?

TIA for your responses!

basic rule of thumb is - don't take any liquids as carryons - like nothing. I did get away with a small size hand sanitizer but it is such a pain in the butt to have to pull out any small liquids and put them in a clear bag (or have them in clear bags to present at the security). Once you are through security, you can buy water, juices, and liquids and take them on the plane. They just have to be purchased beyond security if you are doing carry-on. Otherwise, pack your liquids in your checked luggage.

I have to agree. I don't carry on any liquids. It's just not worth the hassle at security.

You have to remember that they will also count things like foundation, creme eye shadows etc as "liquid" and if in your carryon, you need to baggie it.

Just pack any liquids in your checked luggage. I packed shampoo, hairspray, gel, lotion, etc in my checked luggage and it was fine.I just got back Tuesday night and had no problems.:thumbsup2
