What would be a good restaurant for thanksgiving day dinner? we have dining plan and staying at wilderness lodge and have hoppers....it will be me, dh, dd 11 and ds 21/2

Most restaurants will have a thanksgiving option. One of the WL restaurants or liberty tree tavern would be nice

Liberty tree tavern if you're thinking classic thanksgiving

I second this - no matter where I am I want traditional on Thanksgiving - LTT's vibe surrounds you in tradition.

I also think Raglan Road does a Thanksgiving menu - this provides entertainment along with turkey.

I'm not a fan of the food necessarily, but if you want some shtick with your Thanksgiving dinner I think having your Mom and Aunts serving it at 50's Prime Time might be a hoot

I think I'd do one of the more traditional signatures, like Flying Fish or Narcossee's or Yachtsman that seem family friendly and where you can hear each other during the meal.

I don't want most Thanksgiving food on Thanksgiving, so, we eat out now in my family:) Thanksgiving at WDW sounds awesome!

We did Trails End last year on Thanksgivung and loved it. They had many of their regular dinner buffet offerings and added Thanksgivung dishes like roast turkey, real cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, pecan pie, etc. it's a nice boat ride away from WL if you go right over from the resort or if you want to go right from dinner back to your resort :thumbsup2

We are currently planning on Sanaa for Thanksgiving day. We thought about Liberty Tree Tavern, but my mother-in-law seemed excited about Sanaa so we switched it up. We are staying at AKL for this trip so that makes it easy.

I am going to check this one out...thank you!

Seems like someone else mentioned this one on another thread..Is it at animal kingdom??? we will be at AK that day
It's at AKL, so a quick bus ride from AK :) Sanaa is at AKV right next door to the lodge and is another good option; I know the last 2 years they added a Thanksgiving option to their regular menu.

My first thought was Liberty Tree Tavern, for sure. It's delicious. Garden Grill also has a similar menu for dinner. 50's Prime Time has traditional comfort food and I expect they'll have TG things.

Depends on if you feel like you need "traditional" Thanksgiving food on Thanksgiving. I have stopped cooking for major holidays (I get so focused on making sure everything is just right that I don't feel like I get to enjoy my family or the holiday) and we usually just go to a really nice restaurant. When we have Thanksgiving at WDW though, I always want to go to Liberty Tree Tavern for "traditional" Thanksgiving food - plus the atmosphere is fun on Thanksgiving. With that said, most of the WDW restaurants will have some kind of traditional Thanksgiving entree available even if they don't usually serve something like that. We have done steak restaurants and seafood restaurants on the holidays - it's all about spending time with your family.

yea I cant decide if I really need to eat traditional food or not....need to see what hubby thinks too...I know the kids could care less.. :)

We went last Thanksgiving and just picked a TS that was in the park we planned to visit that day. So..Tutto Italia was were we ended up. Would I go back for Thanksgiving? Nope. But in all fairness I won't be going back anyway. This year we are going to try a resort for Thanksgiving - or a turkey leg and a dole whip.
