Suggestions on Where to Get Dinner-To-Go at the Magic Kingdom

We rarely eat out, we almost always bring our own food. But on occasion, we'll grab a quick meal. Our favorite go-to is Cosmic Rays, simply because it offers a pretty big choice of foods for all of us. It's meant to be a quick service sit down place, but no reason you couldn't take it to go. If you want to be in Frontierland, Diamond Horseshoe is a good option, or the restaurant right at the end...forget its' name...keep walking past the Diamond Horseshoe toward Splash Mountain and it's the last place on your left.

Ugh. My party got really sick from their food. We all had a hotdog and in an hour we were incredibly sick. It passed some 12 hours later. I will never eat there again. Bad experience. But people seem to love it.

I SO wish Disney would offer carry out containers. In addition to wanting to have food on the go while enjoying the parks, sometimes you really need a to go box. Like when your toddler decides to pitch a fit and you are forced to flee the restaurant (and sometimes the park) or when said terrible 2 year old falls asleep in the stroller and if you stop rolling the beast will wake up. Yes, we love our children and grandchildren very much, but they don't always make the best restaurant diners. Add excitement, overstimulation, heat and exhaustion and man, sometimes you just need it to go!

I always carry a tupperware or 2 in the park with me, I rarely finish my meal and since I carry a bag anyways it's not issue to bring it along. It saves me a lot of $$ to not have to throw away any delicious Disney food

We always sit out by Caseys so that would be an option. Not my favorite food, but it's close! And then you can get ice cream across the street too!

Shut. UP! I was just in MK on Sunday and didn't know about this!!! Do they stop serving those at 5:00 like they did the waffle sandwiches? We WILL be trying these in November--thanks!!!

I remember a few years ago, we got some meals to go from Cosmic Ray's, took it to the castle forecourt, I believe on a tray, and ate while waiting for a parade or show. It worked out well.

I just don't want to be juggling multiple containers (say burger/sandwich, side and drink) because I know I'll drop something, or smear food on my face and not be able to wipe it off!

I'd bring along a handful of ziploc bags. The quart-size fit the little paper tray jobbies or cups you get sides in; the gallon size are 9 1/2 inches across, which I think are big enough for Disney plates or the larger trays. I suppose you could take empty water bottles for the drinks, but if my food is secure I've not had troubles carrying an open drink as well. Knocks wood!

Not sure when they stop serving it - I read the review at Disney Food Blog, and it sounds delicious!

Cosmic rays is our best go to quick service place at magic kingdom. They have a variety of things on the menu to order.

Columbia Harbor House is the best kept secret for food....Hard to find and tucked away across from HM.
