Any suggestions. We are staying at Fortwilderness campground. We are going to set up camp and just relax the rest of the day our first day there. Anyway, I thought that night we would go out to eat. I was going to book us for the Hoop Dee Doo Reveue but it was a little more than I want to spend plus you have to pay when making your reservations. So anyway can someone suggest somwhere not quite as expensive I think it was $37.00 per adult and $20.00 something for a child. I thougt about Whispering Canyon because we could take the boat over to the lodge, but is there anything special about it. Anyway, any suggestions would be appreciated. Our DD is six. (we are doing a character breakfast so it does not have to be character related. Thanks! :earsboy:

If you are too tired to go far the Trails End buffet at FW is great! Probably the best food value in all of Disney. You could take the boat to Chef Mickeys at the CR if that is not where your charaacter breakfast is going to be. Also, your idea of WC is a good one-very fun!

Whispering Canyon is fun, so is Ohana. At Ohana they have coconut races and hula hoop contests, WC has stick horse parades and napkin hats. At Wc be sure to ask for ketchup and straws! ;)

I think WC would be good. We had a blast here and it will be close by. Also take the time to just check out the beautiful lobby at the WL.

If you want to stick close to home base, Whispering Canyon is a blast! If you're wanting something a little different from the whole "wilderness" theme, there's O'Hanas, Chef Mickey's, and 1900 Park Faire. Also, there are 2 Rain Forest Cafes -- one at the entrance to AK (You don't have to enter the park.) and one at DTD. Personally, I would go for WC.

Your DD would probably LOVE Ohanas at the Polynesian for the games. The food is also plentiful & tasty. If you time it right, you can watch Wishes from the restaurant. Otherwise, you could go to the beach after dinner & watch Wishes & the Electric Water Pageant.

The other fun option for a little girl is 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian. It's Cinderella's Gala Feast or something like that. We ate there once & it wasn't too bad for a buffet.

If you don't want to leave FW, Trail's End is a great option for you. Same food as they have at Hoop De Do minus the show. After dinner you could take DD to Chip & Dale's Campfire sing-a-long & movie or take a hayride & watch ELP & Fireworks from the beach.

Sorry, I don't have any suggestions for you since I'm a first-timer to WDW. But I just wanted to give a little shout-out to you because I'll be at FW campground the same time you are. We're actually going to be in the cabins, but some of our group (there are approx 25 of us) will be in the campground.
