Suggestions on dining reservations without knowing our schedule

We will be at WDW in May for a cheer competition. For anyone that has never had the pleasure of attending a cheer competition (I would speculate that dance and other competitions might be similar), we won't know our exact performance schedule until literally days before we arrive. This means I obviously can't make dining reservations at the 60-days out mark.

Any suggestions from the pros as to how to get a dining reservation (specifically breakfast at Ohana), without knowing our schedule?

Thanks in advance.

You COULD try to book all the days you can and cancel as soon as you know, but that might be mean.....

But I would also look around the time people start cancelling (which you would be doing if you HAD all of those) because that's how I got most of my Bon Voyage Breakfasts back in the day.......

But there have been numerous posts recently about "winging it" and it's pretty easy to get good places as long as you're not locked into a particular restaurant or time.....

ohana is a tough one. May I sugesst Cape May or Whispering Canyon Cafe with Cheerleaders could be a lot of fun.

We have gotten some really good hard reservations the day before. If Ohana is the only one you really want, I’d book it and cancel if needed. Maybe you’ll be lucky and wont even need to cancel it.

Based on the information you get at the time of the competition, make your best guesstimates regarding a morning that might work for 'Ohana breakfast, and see if you can get an ADR. With the 2-hr cancellation window, it seems like you'd know the evening before whether or not your schedule will allow for the meal. If there's a conflict, you can cancel without penalty, so it's worth a chance to book any ADRs right at 60 days-plus, if you can..... And if you book one morning and you're free, then you have the reservation and you don't have to worry about getting lucky with someone else's cancellation!

Thank you all for the suggestions.

Can someone tell me more about the 2-hour cancellation window?

So if my ADR is for 9:00am, I need to cancel it before 7:00am the same day? Can I do that in the MDE app?
