Okay..I have 2 DAYS before I leave! I am so excited I can't sleep at night.
Anyway here are the places I have ADR's. I need suggestions on what YOU loved at that restaurant.

Coral Reef (realize not everyone loves this but we do)

'Ohana- Dinner (is this family style like the breakfast?)

Chef Mickey's Dinner (Buffet I know but is it any good or am I going to have to suffer for the kids?)

Sci-fi

Yak and Yeti

Boma- dinner (tell me the best things on the buffet)

T-Rex

All my others are buffet's that I have done before CP, 1900, Askershus etc.

At Yak & Yeti we loved everything we got:
DH - Seared Ahi Tuna App
Me - Lettuce Wraps
We both had the Crispy Mahi Mahi for entrees and it was delicious.
For dessert we went with the Fried Cream Cheese Won Tons w/pineapples and ice cream.
We really like this meal here and are going back on our trip in January.

It seems from reading the dining reviews that in general the grilled meat and fish entrees are enjoyed more than the chinese type wok entrees.
Never had them, but just my perception from reading on here.

Ok, I have eaten at all the above except Boma and Askershus. So I will tell you what I ate on our recent trip in August.

Coral Reef:
App-I had the Sea and Land which was delicious! (Grilled shrimp with cucumber salad and BBQ beef skewer with creamy polenta ) I think my favorite component of the whole dish was the cucumber salad :rotfl2: But seriously, everything was good.
Entree-Seared Chicken Breast. This was also yummy. (Seared Chicken Breast - served over spaetzle finished with Applewood smoked bacon - chicken broth) The chicken had a nice crisp skin which is very important and the spaetzle was very good.
Dessert-I had the Cheesecake Napoleon. (served with seasonal fruit compote (no sugar added) ) Was good, but nothing great.

Ohana:
Yes, Ohana is family style at dinner too. My favorite part of the whole meal were the sticky wings! I want more, now! :lmao::lmao: The potstickers were ok and the broccoli was not. The noodles were also good. I really enjoyed the shrimp which is hit or miss w/ most. The steak was delicious too. I honestly don't remember the chicken or pork which leads me to believe they were just ok. Now the bread pudding for dessert is the highlight of the whole meal!

Chef Mickey's:
It is worth trying, but not the best buffet in town.

Sci Fi:
App- I had the Spinach Dip and it was a lil runny for me, but it tasted good. And the chips were good.
Entree-Angus Chuck Burger.........it was the best burger I had in the 2 weeks we were there. (flame broiled beef patty topped with cheddar or Swiss cheese, sauteed onions, mushrooms, and crispy bacon)
Dessert-If I remember correctly I had the Apple Crumble. It was good.

Yak & Yeti: (our favorite restaurant!)
App-I got the seared Potstickers and my fiance got the Thai Chili Wings.........they make the perfect combo!
Entree-I got the Shaoxing Steak and Shrimp. This might be one of my favorite entrees in Disney period! (skirt steak, tempura-battered shrimp, jasmine rice, stir-fried vegetables, chili plum dipping sauce) The steak is always cooked perfectly! And if it wasn't, it would be like chewing on rubber, that is how thin of a cut it is. The batter on the shrimp has almost a sweet taste to it that is yummy. The jasmine rice is perfect just the way it is. I could care less for the veggies at that point :rotfl2: This is always a must do for our family.
Dessert-Fried Wontons - Skewers of fresh pineapple and cream cheese wontons, vanilla ice cream, honey vanilla drizzle. Enough said!

T-Rex:
I honestly wasn't a fan and can't remember what we ate. It wasn't that the food was bad from what I can recall, just nothing special. But definitely worth the atmosphere once for the kids.

OKAY so now I am STARVING! Yummy I am so excited about Yak & Yeti. 'Ohana too!
We did T-Rex in '08 and I didn't remember liking the food much either. I was hoping someone here had a suggestion. I let each kid pick a place to eat and unfortunately DS picked T-Rex. He loved it. But then give the kid some cheese pizza and he's happy.
