Suggestions for stopover hotel in South Georgia..

We're going to Orlando for Spring Break and I have to work the day we leave, making for a very cranky, tired drive down from Atlanta

I wanted to ask if anyone can suggest a CLEAN, comfortable place around Perry or Cordele, or even Valdosta that we can stop and rest until the morning? I am NOT a night person and Georgia Friday traffic can be a bear on any day so I'd only like to drive halfway instead of the whole way.

The last time we went to Disney as a family we stayed at a Sleep Inn in Valdosta. That was in 2003, the hotel was new and very clean. Sorry that I can't give you more current information.

It's only a 6 hour drive from Atlanto to WDW--really no reason to stop. You might be better off just getting a good nights sleep and getting up and on the road around 4:00 am Saturday morning, which will beat the traffic and get you to WDW around 10:00am.

Thanks, Anne, but I've done that about 30 times and I know that I'm no good after that drive for the rest of the day. I'm getting to the age that I need REST after a long drive. I have to be in Orlando at 9am and getting up at 6 or 7 is better for my old bones...
