Suggestions for stay near port the night before cruise

tpseller- I finally got to bid again after 3 days. I put in $39 for 2 rooms, but it was rejected!:mad: What do you think I should do-stick with this bid or go up in 3 days?:confused:

:wave2: Thanks for your help everyone! Carol36

Bummer Carol36! Sorry you didn't get it!

I am probably not the person to ask though about a higher price, this was the first time for me to use Priceline and I was lucky and got the days and price I wanted.

kcashner made the suggestion below - and I think it is a good one!
A suggestion--make a cancellable (is that a word?) reservation somewhere. Then bid Priceline. You know that you want to keep your bid below what the reserved room will cost. Farther out, stick to your guns and don't bid too high. You can always go higher as your date approaches if need be.

That is what I did. I had a reservation at the Radisson for $115, but when I got my Priceline confirmation, I cancelled my Radisson reservation.

Good Luck!

Hey Carol36 - me again!

I just saw that someone else just got the Doubletree for $44. So I would pick your limit, and then just inch up slowly on your bids.

You should get it! ::yes::
