Three days in a savannah view room...ahhhh.....

Any suggestions for location? Higher floor vs lower?

Honestly my suggestion would be to ask for a room on upper level but close to lobby. Especially if you're traveling with young kids. Some rooms can be a long long ways from the lobby. But other than that I don't really know that I think their is a bad view there.

We've had views of both the Sunset savannah and Pembe savannah and personally, I prefer the Sunset side. If I remember correctly, we requested an even number room on that stay to be sure we were on that side of the building. That reminds me - I need to add that request for our next stay! :D

A lower floor will get you closer to the animals, but there isn't a bad view from any floor. We've stayed at Kidani 4 times, and have never had a bad experience. Do the Night Safari tour (has to be booked through the AK desk, not the normal reservation line). It's only available if you're staying at AK, and you get night-vision viewers to see the animals!

Close to the lobby. The last two trips we were in the last bead and man it gets old walking that far. And I run marathons...

Yes... Close to the lobby. We stayed so far it took 10min just to walk there after the elevators. Our son was 3 at the time, had not napped that day, so by 9pm he was hysterical.

That was a very. Very. Long walk to our room.
