We are wdw vets and are doing a long weekend in early Feb.Our flight comes in really late Thursday night so I'm thinking of not doing a park on Friday. We are staying at CSR (our first time there) We aren't really shoppers or into sports and it probably won't be warm enough to swim. We've done DQ many times and gone parasailing and rented the mouseboats. We won't have a car this time so looking for things to do on property.I'd really appreciate hearing about your great experiences :)

How about breakfast at Boma? Don't know how late they serve and without a car you would either have to taxi or take a bus to AK and the AKL. But breakfast was really nice there and we enjoyed seeing the resort.

Another thing I haven't done but want to someday is mini golf.

How about dinner at a monorail resort? You could watch the EWP from the resort after dinner and Wishes from the beach. We love Kona at the Poly.

How about just checking out some resorts?

Enjoy!

Mini golf is a great experience, if that is your cup of tea. You could take Disney transportation to look at the different resorts that you haven't stayed at for the possibility of a future trip. You could also go to the AMC theater at DTD to catch a movie. Or one of my favorite things to do isto stay in the room and relax and snuggle with my DW. After all, you are on vacation. No where does it say that you can't spend a little time relaxing. :thumbsup2

We have always Resort-Hopped.

Monorail resorts are great.
Grand Floridian has a live band and/or pianist in the lobby every late afternoon and evening.

Boat over to Wilderness Lodge, its SPECTACULAR.

Swan and Dolphin, Boardwalk, Yacht and Beach Club are all in a "group" (linked by boat-ride) and are fun to explore and shop.

Ft. Wilderness has a very NICE secluded bike / walking trail.

Rent a Side-By-Side Surrey Bike at Wilderness Lodge and peddle it over to Ft. Wilderness Horse Stables and see some of WDW's finest horses "at home".

If you go to Port Orleans resort you can ride an excursion boat from there to DTD. Nice quiet river ride past the old "Treehouse Resorts" and a golf course.

Most guests don't know about these "hidden pleasures" at WDW, but we have ALWAYS enjoyed our non-park days at the resorts.

You can get to any of the resorts from any theme park by bus (or boat, at a selected few).
