Suggestions for building request at Marriott's Cypress Harbour.

We are needing to call and request a specific building for our trip in Sept and looking for a little advice. Has anyone stayed recently to know if they have done any updating? Otherwise just looking for location suggestions. Thanks!

I have stayed at building 51 and was happy with its close distance from the bar / pool / eats etc. Last trip we stayed in building 65 as we liked the pool over there a bit better.

Anything on the Lake is a nice unit IMO, especially the upper floors.

51 was not but that was almost 3 years ago. I think 65 was as TV's were mounted on the walls instead of on top a peice of furniture, that was the only thing I noticed different between the rooms and stays.

We like 51 as well. The last time we were there it appeared to be redone. Everything was new except the bathrrom countertop. Old style TVs though. 51 is nice, just a minute to the main pool.

They were refurbishing buildings 51, 52 and 53 while we were there in late February/early March 2010 so they've got a bit over a year's worth of wear on them but the work looked to be comprehensive.

We like locations around the lake and particularly liked our two weeks in a villa in building 65 last year. 65 is located next to the Island Pool area and is a short walk across the bridge over the lake from the Island Pool to the Clubhouse Pool area (bar and grill, resort store, check-in building area). It's pretty close to everything but far enough away so there's little bothersome noise to deal with when you're out on the balcony.

Thanks everyone for your help. DH called today and they told him that the most recently updated buildings were 63, 53,54,55, and 56. We went with building 63. We like the idea of being close to the fitness center and the island pool, which I think our kids will enjoy. Only 4 weeks left, can't wait to get there!

That's a good location next to the little mini golf course and playground equipment and close to the activities center, bike rentals, boat rentals and fitness room. And short walk to either the Island Pool area or the small Bayside Pool area that's just beyond building 62. Nice view of the lake from the balconies. In my opinion, that building has the best location of the five buildings that you were considering.

Colonel Taylor, just wondering if you've returned yet and can give us an update on the resort, particularly on which buildings are refurbed, etc. We are going in October.

Oops, re-read your post and see that you are probably just preparing to leave! I'm excited about our trip and am anxious to hear your trip report. I called the resort today and they told me that buildings 63 and 64 were the most recently refurbished island pool buildings, so I put my request in for a high floor, end unit in one of those. Would love to hear your feedback on the location you get when you return. Thanks!

I will be happy to share our experience at the resort. Hopefull I can provide pictures also just not sure if I know how to get them on here! We leave in 7 days and I am getting a little tired of the planning and just want to be there!!
