Hi! We will be celebrating my Mom's B'day at 'Ohana in Sept. I am ordering a cake, with Hawaiian flowers on it for after dinner, but what else can I do? Do they pass out the floral necklaces? Can I order some? I really want this to be festive. :goodvibes

Call the regular dining number and explain what you want to do. They'll hook you up with the right folks.

we celebrated a "triple" birthday at ohana. our party was 16 people, and 3 people had birthdays. although it was marked when we called for ADR, we had remind the server- or else they would have only brought the cake for dessert. the server let the "hawaiian" singer/entertainer know of the birthdays-and the fun began.she spent alot of time at our table; singing, giving out floral necklaces, even having a special birthday limbo game. She totally made the party memorable for all who attended. Our dinner was over at exactly 8:55, and stayed to enjoy the countdown and beautiful view of the fireworks( they pipe music to the fireworks into the restaurant- and the view is the best anywhere). All the kids at the party were mesmerized to see the fireworks that "Mickey"sent for a "birthday gift". they all still talk about it.The night was very special-just let people know why you are there.:dance3:

This sounds wonderful!!:goodvibes There will be at least 11 of us there so we will have a good size group. So your dinner was over at 8:55, what time was your ADR for? I have never been there before so I'm not sure how long it will take.

Also, does anyone know what time that they do the torch lighting ceremony? I thought that this would be fun to see.

I can't remember exact time of our adr- I think it was around 6:15. I have to be honest, we waited for a long time( about 45min to an hour) for our rez. It was really okay with us because it was raining when we first arrived-and, mostly, because ohana has a great bar/lounge area with terrific "fancy" drinks.they were yummy- and, added to the festive night.:cool1:
