We are a party of 8 traveling to WDW staying at SSR Dec 10 - 15 and I'm looking for suggestions for the DDP. We are traveling with 4 children ages 1, 4, 9 and 14 and would like to make the best of the plan. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where and when we should make ressies?

Is the DDP really worth it? We do know that we want to do the HDDR one night.

Thanks !!

With a large family like that the plan is probably worth it. The HDDR is really going to cut into the plan, however, The Beach Club has a great New England style buffet. Seafood, BBQ and a kids buffet. Wonderful deserts! I think your family would love it. Its a must do for our family gatherings. We also had our wedding rehersal dinner there and it was the first time for everyone but us and now it their fav. as well. Just my choice for you.

Considering as a DVC member we pay 37.99/adult/day for the dining plan...it is well worth it...look at some of the menu's and prices and you'll see it pays to have it! HDDR will cost you two table services each however, you may want to rethink that one and/or pay out of pocket for it! Use your TS credits for dinners - it's the most costly meal of the day, use CS credits for lunch the next most expensive meal of the day, and pay out of pocket for your breakfasts-it is the least expensive meal during a 24 hour period! Actually we bring cereal, cereal bars, muffins, etc. with us to the hotel and use them for breakfast!

thanks for the info..........this is sooooo confusing as to what/when/where.....the last time we visited WDW we ate sandwiches out of a backpack but this time we wanted to go ALL out......besides....my children deserve it after having to survive on military MRE's for 2 weeks as we are Hurricane Katrina survivors.
