Anyone have suggestions for some fun dining experiences for our 11 year old and 7 year old daughters. We have been to WDW several times and have done many of the character meals, the ice cream social, and HDDR. Looking for some new and exciting suggestions for our May trip. The girls are really no longer into the "princess" thing or really even the characters (although I am sure we will throw in a character meal of some sort just for memory's sake). We have eaten in the Moroccan restaurant before and the girls really enjoyed the belly dancing and the food. I would love to hear some suggestions....anyone..... Thanks! :yay:

Have you done Whispering Canyon, Ohana, Coral Reef, Teppanyaki, 50's Prime Time Cafe?

We haven't been to all of them (just WCC & CR), but I read that these are all recommended as good family experiences.

We have done 50's Prime Time, Sci Fi, Whispering Canyon, Rainforest--and would return to any of these, except maybe Whispering Canyon--we were disappointed with this restaurant the last time we were there...maybe it was just our server.

Thinking about Laua at the Poly. Any opinions?

I have a 9 year old daughter and an 11 year old son. Here are some of their favorites:

O'Hana. Good menu, they will gladly bring out separate kids food at no extra charge if you need it. They play a lot of fun games with the kids, even my 11 year old "cool" son had a ball. My kids picked this for the night before our cruise. They only got to pick one thing and that's what they both wanted.

Sci Fi: They love eating in the cars and watching those old movie flicks:

Rainforest Cafe: They always have to go here, we don't have one near us so its a treat.

Libert Tree Tavern: I know you said no characters, but this is a different kind of atmosphere than say Chef Mickey's. A lot of fun and really basic, good comfort food my kids love. And its not a buffet which is sort of nice.

Coral Reef: Really cool to eat in the aquarium.

San Angel Inn: My kids love to eat and watch the volcano with the Hidden Mickey's. Then its fun to ride the boat ride afterwards.

My kids are not really picky eaters and have enjoyed almost all the meals we have eaten at WDW. But the ones I mentioned seem to be their favorites for food and unique atmosphere.
