My family and I have been visiting WDW for many, many years now. (I've been visiting at least once a year for 21 years now.) I feel like we know what we like and what we don't like. This November, I'm taking a trip with my mother, sister and sister's best friend. The friend has never been to WDW.

Here's my problem... I'm afraid that our family knows what we like, but I don't want to leave anything out that would be special for this first time visitor.
We do plan on doing all of the rides in each of the parks... and most of the shows. There's just too many places to eat, we'd never be able to do them all.
Please give us any suggestions of things you would suggest we put on our 'have-to-do' list to help make this a very magical trip for all of us. All suggestions are appreciated!!!

Maybe you could start by asking the girl if there is something at Disney that she has heard about and would like to see?

I think veterans of many, many visits to Disney need to remember when going with first timers to slow down and take time to look around. We tend to run from here to there to the things we know we like and want to see. There is so much to see it is overwhelming for first timers. But by running through, we sometimes miss the little things that make Disney special.

I would suggest buying a Birnbaums WDW guide for the girl. For a first timer who isn't really doing the planning, Birnbaum's is probably a better choice than the Unofficial Guide. Have her read it and make of list of attractions/restaurants that interest her. That would give you a starting point to begin your planning.

Good luck to you.

Thanks for the suggestions... I think we will slow down (a little) and the guidebook sounds like a great idea.
