Personally, I like the concierge service more than the view. We've had marina, lagoon and garden at the GF and all of them are quite lovely. Some Sugarloaf rooms do have views of the fireworks from your balcony. You can't see the castle, but if the winds blowing right, you can hear the howling wolves from Haunted Mansion and the steam whistle.

I think you'll need to pick based on what you'd like the most.

Tammi

I'm the opposite view from Tammi. I've stayed concierge at GF, RPC to be exact and didn't think it was worth the money. I've stayed at RPC with the MK view and in Boca Chica with a Lagoon view and that view blew the MK view away from the main building. I'd ALWAYS book a Lagoon view over any concierge room at GF. Though a suite in one of the lodge buildings with a lagoon view would tempt me though..........

i was just looking my deluxe passporter and it said that lodge con rooms were in sago bay
so..is that true? if you does thatmean you have to go over to sugar loaf to use the services?
thanks

Many years ago it was in Sago Cay. I want to say that in the late 90's or early 2000 they changed it to Sugarloaf.

I would choose SL. We've had LV and we were looking at the Poly. Castle view isn't guaranteed as you probably already know.

Lori

We're doing SL. Now, I've never stayed at the GF, so my choice is based on others opinions and personal preference. I figured that the food, extra service, secure building, and IPO planning would be a better choice for our family. We can scoot outside to Gaspy's to watch the fireworks or to the dock to see the EWP. And my kids are the most excited to have the Fairies from Sleeping Beauty on their bed. It's their favorite movie! (I know you prefer Alice ;) )

I'm even more pleased with our choice now that SL is full service and matches RPC food and beverage service exactly. I'll save the extra money (I got SL at a AAA rate of $391- there were no LV AAA available), enjoy my food and wine, and have a glorious time!

Go ahead and contact IPO now once your reservation is in at wdwgfplanning@disney.com. Weather should be nice with highs in 60's to 70's and lows 40's to 50's. It can get very hot or very cold (mittens and hats), so pack accordingly. Here's a great link for Disney Weather History. Just put in your dates, and it'll show you the past few years.

When are you going? We'll be there Nov 29- Dec 6.

Well, we'll be checking in on the same day for SL! I'll have to make sure to meet you all while there. It'll be me, DH, and my 5 year old triplets. I'm sure we'll see you in the lobby for food and drinks!

that would be very nice!
i am very excited

I'd rather have concierage than a castle view. I'm never sure if we're going to be in the room during the fireworks. Plus if we are, chances are the kids will be sleeping so I don't want to give them yet another excuse to get out of bed. If I want to see the fireworks I can just walk outside for a few minutes.
