Hey Kristen! I'm normally only a lurker on your TRs but when you start quoting Harry Potter I just had to reply! I completely agree with everything you said about WWoHP, it seriously was like stepping into an absolute dream for me! And don't even get be started on FJ... haha! And all of your pictures make me want to go back SOOO BAD!!!

So I've been meaning to read this Harry Potter update since the day you were here... and I'm JUST getting to it now. Why is my life insane all of the sudden? I don't know.

I mean.... I would comment more on Harry Potter stuff, but I don't understand it. But from what I can tell, the park looks very authentic and enjoyable, and I'm sure you were in heaven there! Those scarves always seem like they're very warm and I'm sure it was useful for you over the winter. And I'm guessing the butter beer is what's coming up next? (Yeah, butter beer is the only thing I seem to understand about this park. )

Love your description of everything at WWoHP. I love the Forbidden Journey. IMO, one of the best attractions out there right now. Cool that you got a Gryffindor scarf. I actually got a Slytherin one.

Same here! Totally agree. I move mine around and change them so much! Trust me, the ones I posted today have gone through lots of editing to get where they are now.

I have never been so scared on a ride then I was the first time I rode Forbidden Journey!
It was so REAL! The next time we went, it wasn't as scary, and I took in even more details. Loved it!!!

Seriously, you're gonna love it. I have a small Vera Bradley backpack as well, and I thought dealing with the lockers was fine. Sure, it can get a little crowded in there, but they are very secure and I felt just fine leaving my bag in there during the ride. I kept my cell phone and camera with me and had Dave put them in his pockets. Helpful tip: wear something with pockets. I was wearing a dress and so if it weren't for him and Mike, I would've had to leave my phone and camera in the locker, which I did not want to do. I wanted to take pics of the queue and text my friends about how cool it was! The lockers are free for a half hour, I believe. Any longer than that costs money. So no, I do not see the point of not bringing anything to avoid using the lockers. They were fine. Hope that helps! ​

Chapter 43- "Why Are You Worrying About YOU-KNOW-WHO, When You Should Be Worrying About U-NO-POO! The Constipation Sensation That's Gripping the Nation!"​

July 30th, 2011​

For everyone who knows what my title means, I applaud you.

For those of you who do not, you are probably saying "Whaaa?" to yourselves right about now. And to that, all I can say is... I'm sorry.

Anyways, onto the most appetizing and hilarious update in my journey into the Wonderful World of Wizardry...

As you probably know from my last update, Honeydukes was the next stop on our adventure in Hogsmeade!

As soon as I walked in, I saw rows and rows of the most disgustingly hilarious candy you will ever try...

Bertie Bot's Every Flavor Beans!!!

"And they MEAN every flavor! There's chocolate and peppermint, and there's also spinach, liver and tripe. George swears he got a bogey flavored one once!"

"Alas, Ear Wax!"

Ahhh, it's just so great. So, of course Mike and I picked up one of those!

We wandered around some more and saw candy and these awesome colors at every turn!

Anyone know who's favorite the crystalized pineapple is???

And of course, what's Honeydukes without another classic:

It's Ton-Tongue Toffee!

Then we saw these bad boys...

Chocolate Frogs! Mike bought one for himself, which I happily shared because seriously, these things are BIG.

Ahh Honedukes. <3

We saw some more famous candies:

(Acid Pops are some of Dumbledore's favorite candy, if you're looking to get out of a detention one of these days. )

Sugar Quills! I bought one of these for myself, and ended up eating it on the plane the next day. It was delicious!

There was also a bakery case, which included:

CAULDRON CAKES!!!!!!!

Okay, so here's the thing. I had spent 7 VERY LARGE books hearing about how amazing these cauldron cakes were, so I just HAD to try one.

So we rang the bell:

And paid for our treats! My Cauldron Cake was wrapped in this nice little box:

Then we headed over to Zonko's!!!!

Now, this place was great, but far too small. I really want them to expand the park and add a Weasley's Wizard Wheezes! Basically all of the "Zonko's" products were really from their shoppe!

For example, we have the Fanged Flyer:

And last, but most certainly not the least, and the reason for the title of this chapter, we have the U-NO-POO:

YEAH. THEY SELL THIS. I basically died. It was kinda pricey though, and since I had already spent half my life savings in Honeydukes, I decided to pass on buying this. But MAN was it difficult.

After exploring in Zonko's for quite some time, we headed out into our gorgeous weather and enjoyed our more meltable treats!

I devoured this thing all by myself, save for one bite that I gave Mike:

It was FANTASTIC! Seriously, ya'al need to TRY THIS. It was like, three different kinds of chocolate with all different textures combined into this magically delicious cake. I LOVED it and I would have eaten these every day if I went to Hogwarts. Seriously. I would be so fat.

Mike opened up his chocolate frog, and was WAY more excited to see which famous witch or wizard card he got than he was to actually eat the frog.
What can I say, he's a Weasley at heart.

He ended up getting Godric Gryffindor! He was so excited!! Not only is he the founder of our house of choice, but he was just a really good guy, ya know? This card is one of his favorite souvenirs and is now on display in his room.

As for the frog itself, it was DELICIOUS! I mean, it's chocolate, so how could it not be!?
