Aww, thank you so much! That's so sweet! You are going to love POFQ! It's gorgeous and so convenient to every park. The food court, pool, and boat to DTD are lovely. ​

We really did! The size was great, and the food court and boat to DTD and everything was all wonderful! I hadn't stayed there in 10 years, so I was really happy to go back. It's beautiful there. ​

Chapter 2- WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!!

July 25th, 2011

Hey everyone! I'm gonna try to sneak in one or two more updates after this one, before I take my upcoming trip to the World in just 6 DAYS!!! I am SO excited! I miss it already. Anyways, back to the trip at hand...

After getting a not-so-satisfactory night's sleep the night before, I woke up on that magical morning of July 25th at about 7:30, too excited to go back to sleep. I turned on the TV and the Today show was on. They were discussing the death of Amy Winehouse. Tried to make her go to rehab... It's pretty sad though, that so many celebrities die or ruin their lives that way these days.

On a much happier note, I glanced at my ticker and it said "11 months, 4 weeks, and 1 day" until my trip. Uhh...I think NOT. That meant that today was the day!!

I got up and showered, ate some frosted mini wheats for breakfast and pretty soon I was all ready to go!

My brother must have been a little distracted by excitement for this pic. Hehe.

I said goodbye to my dog, Ginger, and out the door we went!

It was POURING rain outside so Mike took the luggage out for me and we booked it to the car. Our mom drove us to the airport so my brother wouldn't have to pay for long-term parking. How nice.

It took a little longer than usual because of the thunderstorm (aka MONSOON) and there were even some traffic lights out at one of the intersections! That's not very safe. I was afraid that our flight would get delayed, but it ended up clearing up and the sun came out!

We passed the time by taking some pics.

That's my sister, Sarah. She came along to see us off. You'll meet her again in my trip report for my upcoming trip, which we are both VERY excited about.

Pretty soon we were at the airport! We parked in the short-term parking section, went in and checked our bags. We said our goodbyes and headed to security, which moved very fast and went smoothly.

We took a trip on the moving walkway, which Mike calls the Superhero because it makes him feel like one, to our gate, number 16! That's my birthday number and is also my lucky number, so I was feeling good about this flight already.

We got to the gate and Mike bought some food at a place called Which Wich? to tide him over until we dinner that night, but I wasn't hungry. It's not Disney food, but he thought it was good and it held him over well.

While we waited, Mike ate and talked to Katie and I read Founding Brothers and texted my many well wishers. Allie (aka princessallie here on the DIS) texted me and said that it was beautiful outside in Disney World that day. She and her family were already down there, and I couldn't wait to meet up with them all! Yes, there may be a DISmeet or two in this TR...hint hint.

After a while I got bored with my entertainment and began to people watch. A whole group of boys in black polos came and sat near our gate, and a few of them were pretty cute. I also saw a little girl with a princess suitcase. Way to travel in style.

Pretty soon it was time to board this baby.

We boarded at about 1, got situated and were ready for take-off!

Pretty soon we were pulling away from the gate, and take-off was just minutes away!
