Chapter 38- Brulee, Beverly, and Beautiful Sunshine!
July 29th, 2011
What better place to head for our Dessert Take Two than Boulangerie Patisserie??
This is our all-time favorite dessert place in Epcot. (Besides Kringla for me and school bread
) Everything is so delicious, including the French CM's.
We went in and, low and behold, gorgeous CM's everywhere. <33 YAY.
Now Dave, being a bottomless pit and all, decided to order TWO desserts.
He ordered a chocolate croissant:
And a slice of chocolate cake:
**Those two pics are courtesy of the Disney Food Blog.**
He's a pig.
Both were really chocolaty and earned the approval of the chocolate connoisseur himself.
Mike, being a much less sugar-oriented guy, ordered a plain croissant.
It was light and flaky, and just what he wanted.
I ordered the creme brulee, much to Kelliroo's approval, I'm sure!
We enjoyed our delicacies in the little seating area in the gift shop next to the bakery. I love those little tables. I don't know why but that little corner of France just reminds me of my childhood and eating croissants from the bakery. I love those memories.
After we ate we browsed a few more of the shops in France, and then continued on to my fave country, the UK!
On the way, I just had to zoom in on my all-time favorite Disney resort that I could see peeking between the trees in France, the Yacht Club!
Ahh, home sweet home. <3
Beautiful France:
World Showcase Lagoon:
The United Kingdom, govna!
The famous phone booth:
I then decided to hide a bit and call the phone booths, to the dismay of an old man and to the fright of two little girls who thought I was the England Ghost or something..? I don't know why...I was being very friendly! Maybe it was because they couldn't see me...ah well! It was fun!
We shopped around in the UK a bit, and I bought an I <3 the UK shirt. Mike bought a futbol.
AKA a soccer ball for you Americans. LOL.
Next was Canada, where I found these bad boys:
Has anyone ever tried these? They are AMAZING. Like some of the best chocolate ever. I used to get them in Canada when I was younger, and I don't know why I didn't think to check in World Showcase for them! They are soooo good. I bought three.
But I gave one to my cousin so it was okay.
We're obsessed with Aero bars. <3
After that brilliant find, Dave decided that he wanted to go to the Imagination Pavilion to take this obligatory picture of me and Mike by those jumping fountains. We actually ended up riding Figment first (DUH, I prioritize.) and THEN and only then was it fountain time.
It was feeling a little toasty in the sun at that point, so we went in that back entrance to Innoventions and just sat on the floor in the A/C and chilled. Well, Mike and Dave played with Mike's new futbol and I chilled. I just listened to that beautiful Innoventions music and took it all in. Sometimes you just have to do that sometimes, ya know? Just sit and listen. Otherwise, things fly by so fast and you miss them.
Just a little wisdom from Frumpsocrates today.
After about ten minutes of my breathing session we decided to hit up another classic for us, Club Cool!
Does anyone spy the Hidden Mickey??
It had been years since I'd gone into Club Cool, and I was ready to give that Beverly a shot!
Here I go:
Yeah...not so much:
(Sorry for the blurry pic, btw. Mike was laughing so hard at my reaction that the camera was shaking.)
Of course, after that face there was no way Mike was gonna try it, so we both had some of this one:
Which was from God knows where and tasted like mangoes, so yeah.
Oh Club Cool, you are so obnoxious.
We headed back into Innoventions Plaza:
Just look at that gorgeous blue sky!
We had one more stop to make in Epcot, and then it was off to the next adventure!
