Great update!

I love landing in MCO and seeing the palm trees, I kind of freak out a little when the plane is getting close and I can see them! I want to take one home with me and plant it in my backyard, I love palm trees!

That's so cool that you went on a DCL bus, I didn't know they did that when they were out of ME buses! I've never actually been on an ME bus, because I always rent a car, but I really want to go on one just to see the movie, it looks so cute!

LOL that's too funny, missing the chance to get a picture of the arch! I always wonder if we can pull over to the side of the road to get a really great picture, but I'm guessing that's not allowed!

Can't wait to read more!

Okay I'm all caught up and I am loving it so far! I had to take notes on the comments I wanted to make so I could remember them all!

First off, I have to switch to nerdy English teacher mode and make two comments. First, I love the alliteration in your introduction! I am a nut about alliteration and I use it as much as I possibly can. Second, I wanted to ask if you are enjoying A Raisin in the Sun? I've always really liked that play, and I love the Langston Hughes poem that the title came from. It's called "A Dream Deferred" and it's SO good (if you haven't already read it)!

I've read that poem! It's so good! Reading A Raisin in the Sun actually helped me understand it better. But I LOVED it! It's definitely one of my favorites now. Pretty simple and easy to read, but really packs a lot i ya know? Meaning-wise and characterization-wise.​

Okay, out of nerd mode. I LOVE LOVE LOVE your nails! I would never have the patience to do that, so I'm very jealous! Great job!

I love your park bag too. Vera Bradley is just so cute and cheerful!

What a great countdown chain! All of the quotes are so much fun. My favorite was the quote from Rock'n Roller Coaster, because that's my favorite ride! Make it a super stretch!

Thanks so much! I love doing them, and I've just gotten better at them over the years. I'm pretty impatient, but learning how to do all those things has definitely taught me patience. So really it's like I'm killing two birds with one stone.

I love Vera. That one's pretty old but I still love the pattern. A lot of the time I like the discontinued patterns better than the new ones!

Ahh, the Orlando airport. It's so funny because I think that airports are pretty much the most miserable places on Earth (aside from the DMV) but the Orlando airport is so bright and cheerful and lovely!

Aww thank you! She is adorable, and she was probably very sad that we were leaving. She knows us all by name and she's smart as a whip, but she's mainly a frump and I love it.

So do I! They're like little pieces of Heaven! I wish one would SURVIVE where I live, but the blizzards might not do much for it. ​

I just had a thought about how excited you got driving under the sign. I always get excited too, but I think in the past I just quietly enjoyed it because nobody around me ever shows much enthusiasm. Chapter 4- Back to the Big Easy!​

July 25th, 2011

Well, it's about that time! We leave TOMORROW MORNING!!!! Bright and early we'll be headed outta here, at 4 A.M. to be exact! But I don't mind, I'd rather leave then. I'm too excited to sleep anyways. I wanted to get in one last quick update before we left, though! So here goes:

Magical Express dropped us off right in front of the main building, and David Morales got our luggage for us. Dave tipped him and we headed inside to check-in, but not before we took a few pics!

That one I took from the bus before we got off.

I had another little episode like the Gates of Heaven on the bus when I saw this, they're so cute! I have always loved the campaign banners.

I was pretty psyched.

Mike was all chipper and ready to go after his power nap on the plane!

We headed inside and I almsot fell over when I saw the lobby, which I hadn't seen in person for 10 years! It really is gorgeous! Here are a few pics of my Heaven on Earth for the next week:

We were all very excited!

We headed into the lobby and got in the online check-in line. We waited a minute or two and then checked in within the same amount of time. While that was going on I took a couple pics:

These balloons were so cute! Mardi Gras colors!

We got our room assignment, and to my delight, I discovered that we were in Building 4!!! Super close to the main building and we could literally see the bus stop from our room! Which ended up being very convenient!

We headed out on our journey to our room!

I love this gift shop. It's small but convenient and there's lots to explore.

We got to Building 4 and I was so excited to see that there was a little courtyard with a fountain around our side of it.

I love the iron railings and the style of the buildings.

When I return, our room at last! Sorry I'll be gone, but just think, it's another trip report in all your futures! Hope the rest of everyone's summers go well, and don't forget to wish Jess good luck at college!

Omg i love your resort pics My family use to stay at port orleans when i was in preschool/kindergarten but we haven't been back there since then. My mom prefers the carribean beach resort over the port orleans but i still have a soft spot for port orleans. A couple of years ago i went on a church youth group trip to new orleans and i loved it! I now really want to stay at port orleans sometime just to see what it is like. All the pictures look really festive as well Can't wait to hear about your room as well. Hope you have fun on your trip that you leave for tomorrow!!!!!!!

I LOVE it there. Seriously it's beautiful. I really love the moderates because they're not expensive yet there like Heaven and a half. Lovely.

We should stay there on one of our trips we have to go on!! But yes so do I. Like you know how I said CR was last on my list of deluxes? Well I've been in a very CR-ish mood lately and now I really want to stay there. You should be getting super psyched about BLT in December, and not just because it is the name of an incredibly delicious sandwich!

The location was fantastic! I could seriously be at the main building in about 30 seconds if I wanted to. It was great.

No problem! I can't wait to hear all about your new adventures. And of course I'll keep you up to date on IA happenings. Hehe.

Thanks so much! I love Port Orleans. <3 I've never stayed at CBR but I've been there and it's GORGEOUS! I LOVE all the bright colors and the whole tropical feel. It is a really festive resort though, yes. My room was lovely, I can't wait to share it!
