Yeah, we booked our flight there for $69 down!!!! $108 back. (from BWI).

Granted we have to leave at 6:15 in the morning which means awake at 3am. But hey... it's cheap!

I get all this.... They NEEDED to do it.

You see, Southwest, in our area of the country, started to divert all flights through Chicago Midway - about a year ago.
No more direct flights. And we DUMPED SW. Oh. we've SEEN Midway.... .

All of our current bookings are with DELTA. No DIRECT flights - but if we get stuck? We get stuck in DETROIT, not CHICAGO MIDWAY. From Detroit? We can easily say "screw you, you are not flying, REFUND, we're getting a rental car" .

Just us . SW no longer offers US value. KEEP stinking bonus points .

Our January flights from BWI to MCO & back don't really seem to get the love of this sale (I had already caught a drop on our evening return for $79 but what I really wanted to see drop was the earlier flight right before ours and it hasn't budged). I DID HOWEVER manage to initially snag a $49 flight from BWI to Rochester (NY) yesterday for my DS to return to college in January. PLUS I had a $10 credit to use from where I'd caught that price drop on our January WDW trip so only $39 out-of-pocket. Then this evening I finally got his finals schedule for Dec from him and I was able to snag him a $49 flight HOME to BWI in Dec!! WOOT WOOT!! $98 round-trip sure beats a 15 hour round-trip car ride!!
