Stupid questions about DTD

I will probably sound like an idiot here but, if we have 7-day park hopper passes, do we get into Downtown Disney free of charge? We want to eat @ Wolfgang Puck's Cafe. Besides shopping what the heck else is there to do there? I believe Cirque de Solei is there but we aren't going to that. I just can't find any info on DTD that makes me want to go there other than the restaurant. (We also have 4 kids - ages 13 down to 2.)

Also, will it be easy enough for us to find our way to Wolfgang's? It seems as though there are 3 different sections of DTD. Is there just one main entrance or do we enter in a West Side entrance?

Thanks for your help! I appreciate you guys & this forum a lot!

Admission to Downtown Disney is free. They also have pleasure island down there where they have the clubs and things... that I believe there is a charge to get into. But you should be able to find Wolfgang's pretty easily. Also, as a guy that often acts like a child, but then again what guy doesn't every once in a while... I Loved the LEGO store down there. They had all these really cool things made out of Legos like a tourist family and thier dog, a dinosaur, a lochness monster type thing in the lake infront of the Lego store... it was really cool!

I also really enjoyed Disney Quest. For Disney Quest there is an admision fee, but it's basicly a huge arcade. Once you pay the admission to get in, there are only a few things that cost money. Many of the interactive games & video games you can just walk up to and start playing without having to purchase tokens or use coins.

DTD was incredible when we went to Disney in 2004! We absolutely loved it. Wolfgang Puck's is on DTD's west side, near Cirque de Solei. When you are there, be sure to head over to the marketplace!

There is a link to info on the marketplace right here on DIS

The fountains built into the ground are a blast. When we went our DS was almost two and must have spent half an hour running around as the water popped up with a bunch of other kids. It is one of our favorite moments of the trip. Strolling around DTD (we never went to pleasure island - which is where you need to pay to go after 7pm), anyway strolling around DTD looking at the lake, seeing the fireworks at Epcot, was incredible. The shops are adorable and there are quite a few places that are children friendly and have interactive play areas - for free!!!

My kids LOVE Downtown Disney, so do my DH and I. It is such a fun thing to do when it gets dark. It is so lively. My kids have been going there for many years, and they loved it when they were younger and they love it now at 13 and 14. Check out the lego store it is so cool. They have the ESPN shop which is huge and has lots of cool stuff. I say they have something for everyone. It is always on our must do list. Park at one end and walk all the way through. Even walk pass Treasure Island is not bad with young kids.
Virgin Records has a store there with tons of music choices. DTD is a fun night out. I hope you enjoy it.

We LOVE DTD. We're planning on hitting the new candy store there, and the 10 bucks or less store. :woohoo:

We always spend at least a day and/or evenings at DTD. My kids act like it is another park. They love to go to Once Upon a Toy Store and play with the toys(Mr. Potato Head, My Little Pony, Lincoln Logs, Tinker Toys, etc.), they could spend hours at the Lego store, and The World of Disney store is so huge and has pretty much everything that you could want from Disney. The Christmas Store is great too. There are also some wonderful places to eat in DTD as well.

Have a great trip and yes DTD is worth your time to check it out!
