Stupid question: How do I cash/deposit a check for me, but it's not made out TO me?

I would just sign it as "For Deposit Only" with your account number and deposit it through a non-envelope ATM. The check will be processed untouched by human hands. The only potential ever for a problem is if the person to whom the check is addressed (ex-husband) complains to the issuer that it was never received.
