Does anybody have any ideas of pictures that I could hang on the walls of my office?

When I left my old job, they gave me a really nice desk set of Disney. I was wondering if there was anyplace I could get nice Disney related pictures for the wall.

I was thinking of detail of the ship in a nice frame, or I thought I remember seeing framed maps of the trips. Maybe an animation cell.

I know the Disney store used to carry stuff like that, but not recently.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I think you can still get some cells and nice art work from the Disney stores. Have you checked them out online? As for the ship...I'm not sure you'd be able to find them anywhere else but onboard.

Good luck

there a bunch of choices on the ship in Treasure Ketch. We bought a poster size ship photo (it's art deco in nature) for $20

I collect Disney pencil art - art used for animation; not the character art you find in the parks (which is not used in productions). It looks very nice matted and framed and will often spark a conversation. My favorite dealer is hllowery on ebay. No affliation, just a satisfied customer here. He had some great pieces from The Little Mermaid a year or two ago for great prices. Most animation pencil art is cheaper than sericels and, in my opinion, more collectible and more interesting.

After that, I like to hang my own pictures. My SIL matted and framed a picture I took of my boy and her daughter gazing upon Cindy's castle - a silhouette of the backs of their heads with the castle between them - with neat decorations and a whimsically written "when you wish upon a star..." on the matte.

I'm going to have a larger version of this one printed and matted next. It's from my 12/11 cruise. I strongly encourage you to tap your creative side and have at it!

One of our most unique souvenirs from our DCL cruise a few months ago is the print of the map of the caribbean which the Captain signed and also took his Sharpie and drew in the course that our cruise was taking that week. Ours truly is unique because Hurricane Frances caused us to alter the scheduled itinerary radically. We ended up with a 10 night cruise instead of a 7 night cruise, plus 2 additional "spur of the moments" stops in Costa Maya and Galveston, TX.

I think the autographed and hand-drawn itinerary map of the caribbean is a great souvenir from ANY cruise, not just an altered one. Here's a pic of my map. It came with the tan mat, I simply put it into an 10X13 frame when I got it home. And the cost of the map was minimal! I forget the price, but it was definitely under $15.
