I live right across from the local high school and have two boys with tons of friends. Last year one of them made a skateboard ramp (in pieces) in woodshop. He put all the pieces next to my house to pick up. Well months passed and he never got them. Finally, at least 6 months later, I gave the wood to somebody to build a project. Once again, this year he did it. It's been sitting there again for nearly two months. A neighbor already took one piece without saying anything. I live in a multi-unit building. I can't have this stuff sitting here. I also live across from a huge 4th of july celebration with tons of people coming. I'm considering putting a sign on this to sell it. It's nice. It has an embedded grind rail and is big. It is missing one piece but I'd imagine somebody could have that one piece made. I just want it out of here. My sons have given him the message and he claimed he'd be here several times. I told them to tell him I'm going to get rid of it somehow. This boy isn't in my sons good circle of friends and has only been to our home a couple times. I don't know how to reach him. I"ve asked my sons for his number and they reply like typical 18yo's. I don't know. School has been out for 3 weeks. Any thoughts?

Put the for sale sign on it. You've made every effort to get the boy to come and get it, so I don't think you have anything to feel bad about. I guess if you wanted to be extra nice, you could have your son call the boy one more time and tell him you're going to put put the for sale sign on it tomorrow, but if he doesn't respond to that, it's fair game.

I told my son what i'm doing. It won't go out til tomorrow. My sons probably won't bother to tell him though, because they're stupid teenagers and he's not really a good friend.

I would have gotten rid of it by now...I hate clutter/extra stuff & am pretty good about "pitching" anything that's just lying around.
