We are considering becoming DVC members and since there is only 3 of us we likely would be opting for the studio most of the time. Looked at the rooms online and in brochures but the one thing they never seem to show is the kitchenette. :confused3

Anyone out there with photos of their kitchenette from a studio? TIA

Check allears - Deb has lots of photos of the various DVC room types in the resort write-ups. I'm sure there are kitchen shots there. I have some but not uploaded anywhere. Also DVCnews might have some as well. It's basically like a small wetbar.

I'm not sure where you're thinking of buying, but here's a picture of a studio refrigerator at AKV-Jambo.

This is the configuration of all of them except in just one value studio, which for some odd reason is a little smaller and has no freezer compartment.

The last two photos above are BLT. The first of the two shows the kitchen sink AND the bathroom sink. The bathroom sink and counter shares the same space as the kitchenette.

I still can't get over that. It seems so weird. :confused3

It's not weird, it's gross. I don't want to be in there making my breakfast while my room mate is smack up against me brushing their teeth or drying their hair or whatever. At least in the other studios there is quite a bit of distance between the two.

Thanks so much for the pictures. They never give you a good view of the kitchenettes and these are great! Actually haven't decided yet but was thinking about BLT or AK. BLT looks the better value and looks nice but I kind of like the "themes" at AK and some of the others.

Yeah the bathroom sink in the kitchen is a little odd but since I probably would not be cooking more than coffee it wouldn't bother me so much.

Anyway thanks again for the great pics! :thumbsup2

:confused3 Will a narrow Brita pitcher fit in the AKV studio fridge?? Or do you just keep it out on the counter?

I never took the time to really picture it in my head what people were talking about with the sink and kitchenetter at BLT. Now that I see it, I can see how that can cause various issues. Hope on a very sleepy morning I don't spread butter on my toothbrush and toothpaste on my toast! :rotfl:

If you look at the floor tiles in that kitchenette. They look to be 4"x12". So there is about 24" between the two counters. Even if they are 6"x12", you still only have 36" between the counters.

Don't turn the wrong way!

I think the 4"x12" is probably correct.
