Studio in October at 7 months

I know I can forget the Epcot resort area. And I don't really like either OKW or SSR when I'm solo (it feels too spread out). But if I'm willing to take any other resort, what do you think my chances are?

I agree the EPCOT resorts would be difficult to get because of the Food and Wine festival at that time, but Animal Kingdom Lodge might be available. It is my second favorite resort next to the Grand Floridian Villas. When I walk into AKL, I just feel at home. There is so much to do there. Sitting by the fire inside, or outside, the animal viewing, the rocking chairs, the people, the lobby - it's all heavenly! Try for the AKL, and put in a request for any other your heart desires. I have heard many people say their wait list came through. You'll never know unless you try.

I wouldn't mind a room at the AKL if I could get into Jambo. I am thinking that a one-bedroom might be more of a possibility than a studio there in early October. I would be fine with that. Really don't want to stay at Kidani though.

Would a long weekend in September be easier to snag though? Maybe a Saturday-Tuesday, a 3-night stay. That would be avoiding the Columbus day week rush?

I've rented points for BWV 3 times now in Oct at 7 months. There were no standard views, so we did pay a bit more for preferred.

Epcot resorts may be out, but maybe AKL (Kidani easier than Jambo unfortunately). Just last week I got Bay Lake Tower on Easter weekend, so try it, or whatever the names are over at Wilderness Lodge these days. If you're right at 7 months be sure you check Boardwalk preferred (standard will probably be gone) but if there are any of those, they will go fast.

That is surprising. I would think that any of the Epcot resorts would be already gone at the 11 month mark. But I was thinking about a 3-4 days during the week of October 7th. I may just do a long weekend in September if better results were to be had. Who knows?
