Studio Availability - 2nd Half of April / 1st Half of May

Good Morning,

I don't post a lot on the Disboards, mostly look around to see what others have to say. I had a question, so I thought I'd check with you all.

This weekend, for my birthday, my husband gave me the most wonderful present of all- a trip to Disney!!! (I get to plan, as I enjoy the planning process.)

We are considering renting points from David's for this trip. Ideally, we'd like to stay in a Studio room six nights, from Sunday through Saturday, in the second half of April or first half of May (of this year.)

I'm a person that likes to know all of the options ahead of time, prior to putting down a deposit. From what I've researched, David's requires a deposit prior to determining availability.

Are there any Studio rooms available for what I have listed? I'd assume I'm too late for some of the resorts. Animal Kingdom Villas would probably be my #1 dream, but given the short timeframe, I know I need to be open to other resorts as well.

If you are able to provide any assistance, thank you so much. I know this is a message board and people are replying, not because they have to, but because they want to.. and I appreciate that!

Board rules prohibit checking availability. What's available one minute may not be the next.

My apologies, I did not realize!

I like to lay all of my options out (booking a Value/Moderate or renting points) and then see what fits. Is there a way to find availability online, without being a DVC member? From what I've researched, there isn't. Just wanted to throw that question out there, in case someone knows something I don't.

No. There is no way for a non-member to see what's available for a member to book with points.

This is very late to try to get something at a DVC resort so you won't have a lot of options. Working in your favor is that AKV is a large resort, especially if you are open to staying in Kidani Village rather than Jambo House. There is probably availability at SSR as well.

Someone posted recently that they noticed rooms available in the second half of April but I don't recall which resorts were mentioned. You will pay a bit more for April (2 to 3 points more per night for AKV studios, for example) but it might be your best chance. The weather is usually spectacular in late April.

You could look up the point charts just to see what a stay in a studio would cost you, if one were available.
