My family and I are planning on being in Orlando for over two weeks the first of July. I found a room at the Studio 6 in Kissimmee for 35 bucks a night. It has a full kitchen so we can eat breakfast and dinner in our room. Has anyone stayed here before? If so, how long does it take to drive to the parks. We thought that with even having to pay parking each day it was a good deal seeing that it had a kitchen. Any suggestions?

Also, since we are going to be in Orlando for just a little over two weeks we thought that we would do a 10-Day ticket....see what the weather is when we get there and then maybe add the water parks....Is this a good plan.

Also, we are not crazy about long lines....are we just nuts going the first two weeks of July? It is the only time that we have.

I haven't stayed there but you can check the reviews on tripadvisor.

Judging from the picture, the rooms do not have a full kitchen. It looks like a kitchenette with microwave, coffeemaker, sink and small fridge. You will want to take that into account when you plan your meals.

You are not going to be just around the corner from Disney but if you don't mind the commute, then it shouldn't be a problem. Google maps says that it is a 15-18 minute drive to the Magic Kingdom. During peak drive times, it could be twice that.

The first week in July will be hot, humid and crowded. Be prepared for long lines and take plenty of water to stay hydrated. The good news is that the parks will be open later at this time of year due to the crowds. If you want to avoid the lines and heat, plan to be there early in the morning for rope drop and then go back to your hotel for an afternoon break. Return to the parks around dinner time when a lot of people will be leaving or eating.

Weatherwise, you never know. Plan for hot and humid, and if it isn't so bad then great.

We have been twice at that time. The first time it was crazy hot and crazy crowded.
Last year we went again and the weather was actually pretty mild, at least compared to the usual heat and humidity. It also wasn't quite as crowded.
I put a video up on youtube of my daughter riding aladdins magic carpets on July 6 by herself. We were the only ones in Adventureland it felt like. We even walked right on to a half empty Jungle Cruise boat, and we hadn't ridden it in years because it was always an hour wait or more!

The best thing about that time of year is the parks are open late and you get to see the 4th of July fireworks. We always go to Epcot to watch.

Take lots of water and be prepared to depart mid day for a break.

It is right across US 192 from the "Old Town" amusement area. It is very loud at night.
