Stuck with my Xmas Avatar :(

I have been trying to weeks now to change my avatar in the User CP. All the pics I am trying to load are within the specified sizing for custom avatars but I still can't change it. I get the message 'File failed to upload'

Has anyone else tried to change their avatar lately? If you have had the same trouble could I ask that you join me in posting here to try and get some assistance http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2630139

Well since it's Tigger, and Tigger rules, I don't see a problem. I don't mind trying to change mine and letting you know. It's probably due for an update anyways and I am sure Tigs would want a new look for the spring

ETA: It's not you! It won't let me change mine either. Otherwise it's both of us First I kept getting messages saying Upload Failed. Then it kept telling me the server was unavailable ..... And much as I would love to post on the link you provided, it won't let me!

How did you manage that? I followed all the instructions posted on that thread you linked us to in your first post and it still won't let me change mine.

By the way, Tigger looks great - as always!

I didn't do anything - I just tried again and it worked this time (same pic I have been trying to upload for weeks)

So you still can't change yours ? so confusing and still no answers over in the Technical Help section

It is a little annoying. I know it isn't a xmas pic, but my DD turns 9 on Saturday and my avatar is a pic of her when she had just turned 7. She's not impressed either Thanks anyway

Perhaps the system is biased and is only permitting orange images with black stripes. I wonder if it will let me put a Tigger on

I tried to change mine just now and it worked OK.
I changed it back straight after as the one I changed it to I didn't want to keep, but hopefully the whole system is sorting itself out.
For what it's worth I did ask over on the Mods board too and the replies I got indicated that it is a problem all over the Dis, but they are also in the process of changing some aspects of the site so it may be a knock on effect from that.
