Stuck at Midway.....

My DH has been in Chicago since Thursday, now his flight has been delayed coming home. At the moment it delayed just over 2 hours....I wonder if he will actually be coming home tonight or not....

My niece is flying home from Hawaii with a family whose dad works for the airlines. They have to fly standby. They landed in Chicago and it was evident to them with all of the cancelled flights, that they will not get home. They rented a car and started their 11 hour drive. I hope that the weather is okay coming east.

The snow has stopped here (I'm about 8 blocks from Midway) so I would imagine flights should resume soon. There is probably a large backlog from last night though, so that may be the cause of the delay. Hope he gets home soon!

Lucky you, I'm at North and Harlem and were almost blizzarded (how ya like that new word?). DH works tonight until 11p and then turns around and goes back tomorrow at 5:30a. So that means if it snows on Sunday nights, I can't get out of the driveway. I know, I can shovel, but I won't. Outside his job, inside my job.

OP, I hope DH makes it home safely.

His flight was scheduled at 7:20 but now its 9:35....so we shall see....lets hope they don't delay anymore! Keep your fingers crossed!!

OK, I've been DISsing for about an hour in the basement - just went up and it has stopped snowing. I didn't want to be known as a liar liar pants on fire.
