Stubby's family returns again TR begins on page 5

So the ponchos are for rain? I figured for Splash and GRR, not too mention the wet zone of WoC, which can be up a couple tiers when the wind is right.

It will get here super close. I promise.

Yeah we wanted them in case of rain(rained 2 times last trip...but that was October.) Not afraid of getting wet on Splash or GRR...I will dry. But, if it rains like last trip we would be soaked all day. But, unfortunately no ponchos for us. Oh well it's July it prob won't rain.

Just like that, you are only one week away till you are at the Happiest Place on Earth.

Yeah and can't wait. Although I still have to get our homework done and I work every day this week except today. Going to get working on it right now...hopefully I can get a majority done today or tomorrow before work.

Get those finals out of the way so you can spend that time packing.

I have most of the packing done(just need to do the stuff for the day before disney and the day after...which I have to wash first). Going to go do the finals now so I can spend some time on her later.

Thanks for keeping up with my pre-report.

4 days from now we will be more than half way there. In a way I wish time would hurry up. On the other hand...I am not ready. :rotfl:
Still have to turn in my finals(which I did finish yesterday) and hubby still has 2 to do. I also need to do my essay for MedLaw(half written) and hubby has to do his. We did get the house cleaned today(don't want to come home to a mess...just hope kids keep it that way. Going to do laundry tomorrow morning so that should get that part almost done.
And then we are going shopping tomorrow afternoon also...oldest dd wants another pair of shoes and I am sure I can find a few more things I want...lol. Maybe I can find those ponchos at Kmart tomorrow when we are out.????.
I have to work midnights the next 3 and a twelve hour evening night shift Saturday night/Sunday morning...so I am hoping the excitement don't get me too much so I can sleep Sunday morning since I will be the one driving.

WOO HOO! I am so happy. I still have a couple items not packed but everything else is ready. Finals are done and turned in. Just found out we can do the extra credit if we want too...so I may take a stab at that Sunday afternoon if I have time.
Tomorrow is a crazy busy day. Drop off dog...pick up rental....and my youngest has a birthday party to go to and I have to be back at work at 7 for an 11 hr shift. Not gonna get much sleep. But, not sure I could. I hardly got any today.
Girls can't contain themselves. All they say is Disney. I feel the same way!:rotfl2:

I can't wait!:woohoo: Hope the rest of the trip goes better than today.

Went and dropped off dog. That went pretty good except dumb dog didn't want to get on scale.
Got a soda and went to my hubby's work to drop off our car and wait for rental car guy to pick me up. Apparently when they say Pick Enterprise...we'll pick you up...they don't mean it. :confused3 I waited 35 mins calling about every 5 and getting their machine. So, I went over there. The guy was swamped. Glad I went there or he would have given my car away. Apparently the new girl failed to do her job. Anyway, long story short he did get me in a car(an upgrade) and gave me a discount. I was so worried...I went to Chicago back in the 90's to see my husband in Basic Training and when I got there they didn't have my car...same company...so I was having deja vu. :sad1: And since everything closes at 12 on Sat here I would not have had luck anywhere else.

Ok so probably won't be on again until we are at DL. I work for 11 hrs and then will need to sleep. And then we leave!

Have been diein to get on here and do some of my trip report. But, it's just not gonna happen today. Hopefully tomorrow. Had to work the last 3 days and today is open house for the girls and promised hubby we would see a movie. Also have to get copies of our w2's for the school...etc. Soooo busy. Not to mention the pile of laundry left from the trip.

I will start by saying that our less than 5 hour trip there took over 7 hours. There was an accident on the 15 and an 8 mile stretch of highway took 2 hours. It amazes me how inept CA is at cleaning up after an accident. Been in many other states and have never seen anything like this. The hotel auditor said it is because they come to the accident, take a break five mins in, and then when they get back from break they work 5 mins and take lunch.

So after getting no sleep the night before we managed to make it to the park around 7:30. THere was already a pretty big line at security. But we still managed to be the first through a turnstyle and headed onto the sidewalk of Main Street. We walked really fast to Star Tours. Hubby loved it. Didn't make me sick at all...thank God. Dramamine is such a great thing.
After getting off ST we got a fast pass and then got on Buzz and then Astro Orbiters. My Buzz scores were L4 every time. Just can't make it to L5. But, I managed to kick my hubby's butt every time so was happy enough with that.
From Astro we headed into Fantasyland and did Pinocchio, Snow, and a then Big Thunder Then we headed over to Pirates.
By now it was lunch. We had reservations for Blue Bayou. I had recently read many bad reviews on BB so was a little worried. We loved the place. I ordered the short ribs and dh and all 3 girls got the Roast New York. Kids didn't like it very much but, dh did. He also liked my short ribs and I thought they were great. The atmosphere of the place makes it so great and the waitress was super. No complaints here.
From lunch we headed over to get FP for Splash and ride HM and Pooh.
Although the morning crowds allowed for many rides the afternoons were horrible every day and doing one maybe 2 rides an hr was hard. Back over to IASW and we rode it 3 times that day. Then back for a 2nd ride on ST and Buzz.
From there it was dinner time and we did Coke Corner. I had been craving a Cherry Coke...never did get one the whole trip. They were out of Cherry when we went on Monday and we never made it back. I am so sad about this now. We had 2 Mickey pretzels and Chili in a Bread Bowl. It was busy because the parade was going on.
From there back to Pirates, HM and to use our Splash FP's. We got Indie FPs also. Which dh used before we went back to the hotel.
All in all we did alot for Day 1. The best part was BB. It was far better than I expected and really impressed dh(that never happens.)
Will write up Day 2 tomorrow if I have time(back to work for me tonight-ugh). Highlights...Celebration Roundup and Space Mountain with youngest DD and a REBEL SPY!

A couple things I forgot about day 1 before starting day 2.

The potatoes at Blue Bayou are great. I had heard they were good but, they really really are.

Hubby got a Turkey Leg for dinner. When we sat down to eat he wanted a corn dog(which he never got) but because of the mess from the parade we skipped it. So he was still hungry and when we were walking around he saw a turkey leg. He loved it. I tried it also and it was pretty good.

I will add pics later after I have put them on the computer.

Have some free time tonight so figure I will do day 2.

Day 2 was our MM day. We got there around 6:30. Huge line already. We went straight to Star Tours. Our youngest dd was the Rebel Spy. It was so cute. Tried to find her a t-shirt but they only had bigger sizes. :confused3 From there we went over to Space. Youngest dd was big enough to go last time but chickened out. This time she was kinda scared at first but LOVED it. It is now her favorite ride. From space we went to Autopia and then got FP for ST. From there we went to Big Thunder and did some of Fantasyland.
It was lunch time so we headed over to our reservations at Big Thunder. This food was so good. :thumbsup2 My middle dd loved the ribs. She wants to go back next trip. We didn't care for the slaw but everything else was so delish.
After lunch we headed over to get a FP for Indie and ride Pirates HM Jungle. We got another FP for Splash and rode Pooh. Dh rode Indie twice(youngest can't go on so he rode with the 2 girls the first time and then w/ oldest dd the 2nd.) After that we decided to use our ST fp and then eat dinner. We were close to Pizza port so we ate there. This was not on our list. We had eaten there on our first trip to DL and weren't impressed. And this time was just as bad. From poor poor service to bad food...it just sucked. We had 3 pieces of pepperoni pizza, a kid's spaghetti and a Ckn fasoli(sp?).
After dinner, we rode Space and then headed to splash to use our FPs. After this it was time to return to the hotel. 2 days in the park and I was already exhausted...and ready to go home. Dh and I had fought alot in the first 2 days. He is the type to go go go..and I am not.
Stay tuned to see if our fighting gets better...
Day 3 is our DCA day. WOC!!!!

Caltrans

Sounds like you wer doing ok with the crowds what they were. Wisely you were getting there early and getting rides in.

Agree on those BB potatos. :thumbsup2

Rebel spy is your daughter? I don't see the force in her.

Should of ate more ribs and skipped dinner.

Did you see F! or Fireworks or were you not making it up that late?

Crowds make dh angry. Don't know why(course by the end of the trip they weren't making me happy-if one more person would have stopped to answer their phone or chat in the walkway I might have hurt someone). But we managed.

We did see both F and Fireworks on Thursday night...that is a story all it's own. And poor youngest dd fell asleep so she missed it.

So Wednesday was our DCA day. We went to Disneyland first. Let me start by saying I was ready to go home after Tuesday night. We(dh and I) left the park not speaking on Tuesday. Bad ending to the day. But, Wednesday morning dh woke up in a good mood and things got much better the rest of the week. Glad we didn't leave.
Ok so we went into Disneyland and rode Space Buzz and managed to do all of Fantasyland and RR before heading to DCA at 10. We got FPs for Soarin and headed to get FPs for WOC. We got the red section. I wasn't happy. I thought for sure this would not turn out well. Anyway, so from there we went to ride GRR. Youngest dd loved it(she was too little last trip). By the time we got off it was time to get another Soarin FP and eat. We had Taste Pilots. It was good once again. We then went to ride the Zephyr and then Little Mermaid(horrible 40 min wait.) From there it was Goofy's with another 40 mins and then Toy Story with a 45 min wait. My feet were killing me by now. I don't mind walking but just standing in one places kills me and unfortunately this trip was bad for that.
From TSMM we went back to get another FP for Soarin and ride again. From there it was over to Monsters and Bugs Land. We did the bumper cars and Fliks Flyers and Heimlich(I know lame ride but I love it.)
By now kids were hungry again so we went to Cocina Cucamonga to eat. We loved their food last time and it didn't disappoint again.
After dinner it was time for another trip on Soarin and then over to wait at WOC. It was already almost 7:30 when we got there and there was at least 30 people in front of us. I just knew it was going to be where we couldn't see. So at 8 when they finally let us thru I was totally suprised when they guy said...would you like to sit in the wet zone. Of course we jumped at it. It was chilly that night and of course we forgot our jackets. Just sitting by the water was kinda cold for us desert dwellers. As we were sitting there the guy came around with Ponchos(hey MATT...we NEEDED THEM). I was like should I get them, at least for the girls and when the girl next to us said we wouldn't need them we opted not to. Well, guess what. The wind was blowing pretty good and when we left the show....we were DRENCHED. There was not a dry spot on us and we could ring out our clothes.
About the spot...it was really good. We were on an angle but, we could clearly see everything. And we loved loved loved the show. This was dh's fav part of the trip. He actually wanted to go back and see it again but we couldn't fit it in. We will definately be going again next trip(with jackets and ponchos.)
We had GRR fp's for 9:15 but there was no way we could stay in the park another minute.
Wednesday was such a great day.
Up next...Thursday(the worst park day for crowds), F! Fireworks and the people I wanted to hurt.

So Thursday was our Minnie and Friends breakfast. We got there early and were the first ones in Plaza Inn. While taking our pic Tigger saw us and came out and got in one of our pics. Of course I had to buy them then.
We got so many great characters. Minnie, Pooh, Eeyore(hubby's fav), Max, Chip, Dale, Fairy Godmother(she was so great-perfect character) Captain Hook. It was so wonderful. I highly recommend it. Definately worth the money-although we didn't eat very much.
From there we headed to ST. 45 min wait already. We got our FPs while we were waiting.
From there we went over to Space. After space was Autopia, then buzz and Astro. We then took the RR over to NOS and decided to see how lines were. It was a real mad house. Dh went off with the 2 girls to ride Indie while youngest and I sat at Stage Door and ate a Funnel cake and drank a soda. It was soooo sooo busy. After lunch we rode the RR a few more times and then went shopping for pins(our new passion). The girls had already traded all the ones I bought for them. Next trip I am bringing many more. Oldest dd had a blast.
From there it was time for lunch and we had reservations at Cafe Orleans. We shared 2 baskets of fries(wish we had only gotten one since kids didn't like them) and a Monte Cristo and Ckn Sandwich and cup of french onion soup. Really liked the Monte Cristo. It is everything everyone said.
After lunch we just walked around for a little while since it was a madhouse. Around 5 I decided to get our spots for F!. People were already lining up. While I waited dh and the girls rode Splash and Pirates and HM. They got back around 7:30. 3 rides in 2 and a half hours...not good. Anyway, at around 8:10 a woman comes up and sits in front of us. I told dh to watch I bet she has more family. Sure enough 10 mins later here comes her man and a bunch of kids. I called her on it. She was like well there is space. I said no way we have been here for HOURS. I said besides my daughter can't see over you. She was like...well she can sit in front of us..told her no and she could get behind us..and she did. This woman made me so angry. Wish the people behind us had said something also.
Anyway, 10 mins before F! started youngest dd fell asleep. We tried to wake her up but no luck. We watched it and enjoyed it. Also stayed put for fireworks and got to see a side view of Dumbo and Tink. Dh liked it but not as much as WOC.
After the fireworks we decided we had better go back to the hotel since youngest dd was sleeping. It turned out to be an ok day even though we accomplished very little and got few rides in. Oh almost forgot...ST and Space both broke that day. ST went down around 1pm and never reopened.
Next up...Day 5--lots of rides lowest crowds for week.

Ponchos pssshhh. Glad the red zone worked out view wise. It can be hit or miss because it has some far to the side spots.

Sorry about the little one falling asleep for the night shows. It's Murphy's law. Took DS to WDW to see the best parade ever, Main Street Electrical Parade. Here it comes, out he went. There were a couple nice girls sitting by us that thought it was aweful cute. I enjoyed the parade, he didn't even remember the tiny bit he saw.
