We just returned from the 3 day land 4 day sea trip, had a great time and really felt the magic of Disney. This was our first trip to Disney and also first cruise.

I'm wondering if we do the same package again next year to see the things we missed will we have just as good a time, or will some of the magic be lost as we know what to expect. If anyone has done the land and sea more than once I'd certainly value your opinions.

The ultimate would be a week on the boat and a week at Disney, however our budget won't allow it, and this will be our last trip as a family as the oldest will be graduating the next year and won't be able to join us.

I live in So. California and go to Disneyland every Sunday. I even used to work there, so I have even been behind the magic. And I can tell you, for a true fan...the magic never dies.

We have our 5th and 6th sailings booked for 11/05 and 12/06 and always stay for a day or two at WDW. The 4 nighters just aren't good enough anymore :rotfl2: My DDs are 15 and 13 and it's their choice to want to sail again and again...We see new things every time we go the only difference is it's beginning to feel more "like home".....and yes, the Magic never seems to go away....

we have not done land and sea package, as we live 40 minutes from WDW and we go every weekend and we have been on 6 cruises. Numbers 7 , 8, and 9 are booked already. All are 7 day cruises, so we will be repeating, as we already have done a couple of times.
We LOVE it!!! It gets better everytime. I think it's partly because we know the routine, so we arn't worried about the little things that everyone questions the first. You really do feel at home. You have a special check in line, and there is always a gift in your room for being a repeat guest. You also get an invitation a few days into the cruise for cocktails with the captain. Repeat guests with the invitation only. Plus you get to do all the cool stuff you didn't have the time to do the last time. I still have new things yet to do after 6 cruises. And they are constanly adding new things to do and a new show about once a year. I think I could go for a month straight and not be bored with either the cruise or WDW. There is always something new and new people to meet. we have gone by ourselves, with the adult kids and with 4 grandkids of all ages.
If your not sure, just take the opposite cruise from what you have taken or take new excursions. You won't be dissapointed.
It's still magical!!!!!

We have been going to Disney 4 times a year the last 3 years and we went on our first cruise this past April. Our 2nd and 3rd cruise are already booked. If you have the Disney magic,it never dies. It just keeps getting better and better!

We will be going on our second cruise this June and I was thinking along the same lines. I wonder if our family will be as awe struck as we were the first time. Maybe in different ways, we will know are way around the ship and some of the activities, we can hardly wait to experience the magic again.

You man not be as "awestruck" as your first time, but you may actually enjoy yourself more the second time. Since you will "know the ropes" you won't stress the small stuff. Plus since you already know the ship, you won't have the overwhelmed feeling and will find it easy to get around earlier in the cruise than your first time.

I was an experienced cruiser when I married my wife. For our honeymoon we went on a cruise. After the cruise my wife said that she was glad that I handled a lot of the details because she would have taken longer or made mistakes.
