Haven’t been on a boat on any of the MK resort routes since before I had my toddlers and I never paid attention to this so ...

You have to fold strollers on the MK resort boat routes, right? I can’t recall the setup.

We mostly take the monorail to/from MK and at off times so we are normally able to roll our stroller on, although I know they will ask you to fold it when it is very busy. Was just curious about the boats.

On our last trip I was unpacking our stroller and getting ready to get DD and DS out before we boarded one of the Friendships in the Epcot area. The CM told me to just roll it on with them in it which was a surprise to me.

It doesn’t really matter to me either way, but just want to be prepared in case we end up hopping on a boat. Thanks!

I recall seeing many folks with strollers on the launch we took frequently on our last trip, none folded. I don’t think it’s an issue.

It depends on the size of the boat. We just stayed at WL & Poly and although we don't have stroller-aged kids, we did see lots of families with strollers. Every time someone with a stroller went to get on the smaller boats, they were told to collapse the stroller because there really isn't any room on them for an opened stroller. With the larger boats (like those in and around Epcot) they were able to roll the stroller on to the boat with the kids in the stroller. I think in all of our trips back and forth between MK & the resorts during those 2 weeks, we only had one trip on the larger boat. the rest were all on the smaller boats.

we were able to roll a double stroller on the boat from Fort Wilderness to and from MK a number of times last trip. in fact I have rolled an ECV on that boat many times

On the smaller boats, Strollers must be folded. On the larger boats, they can remain open. We stayed at WL last year, and it was about 50/50 which boat we got.

Boats from MK to WL & most boats from MK to FtW can take strollers as is.

Boats from MK to GF & Poly, and boats that circle thru CR-WL-FtW need to be folded.
Not exactly. The boats that go between WL and MK alternate with 2 different types, the larger boats that can take strollers and ECV and the smaller boats like the boat that is used to Poly/GF that can not take ECV. Those boats can not take a stroller not folded. Normal pattern is one large/one small/one large/one small, etc.

Sorry, looks like I had WL & FtW service reversed in my mind.

The smaller boats have a step down into the boat...no way can you take an unfolded stroller onto those boats. But, the large boats are even with the docks...so you can keep the stroller as is, with kids in them. I know that one poor boat captain had his hands full trying to help the dad with a huge double stroller onto the boat to WL/FtW! The stroller barely fit through the door!!! It had less than an inch on either side...and then had to move around a corner!!
