Strollers in counter service restaurants?

Hi, my son will be a year old when we go to Disney. I plan on bringing a lightweight umbrella stroller. I was wondering if we are allowed to bring the stroller into the restaurant especially if he is napping? We are going in lower crowds in October if that makes a difference.

When we would being a stroller, we were told to leave the stroller parked out of the seating areas at Peco's Bills. When our child was sleeping, they made an exception. I think it also depends on how busy it is as when it was less crowded, they let the stroller in.

I think the official Disney stance on this is that if the child is sleeping, the stroller can come in. Otherwise, it must be left at stroller parking. When we visited in 2014, my daughter was fast asleep in our large jogging stroller at the time of our Hollywood & Vine ADR. The CM gladly let us keep her in the stroller and found us a table where it wouldn't impede traffic. They are very accommodating!

It will depend on each place at the time. There is no way to tell you ahead of time for sure at this place or not at that one. It depends.

I was just going to say the same thing as @_auroraborealis_ October is NOT a slower time of year. We have been each of the last 10 years, and each was more crowded than the one before. It is a busy time of year.. Keeping this in mind I also agree with @maxiesmom there is no way to tell til you are there.

We are going to be there when the crowd calendar calls for 4/5s. I guess I consider that lower... not the lowest, but definitely not spring break or summer.

Anyways thanks for the replies all, I was more concerned about naps.

I've just seen more than a few people of late convinced that October is a land of magical walk-on rides and gumdrops. It's less crowded than Christmas, but it's not low crowd.

With Free Dining being offered for parts of October, the restaurants will be full, and that is what will affect you the most.

I would plan as if you won't be allowed to bring in your stroller. Maybe bring along a baby carrier or wrap of some kind.

I thought October was excluded this year for free dining? Except for October 1st...

I didn't even think about that. Hopefully they are accommodating, I would hate to wake DS up just so we can eat..

On a side note, what about CS or QS? Strollers allowed in or no?

We had reservations at fultons in December and were told to leave stroller outside. The baby was sleeping(14 months). But they did find us a table with a bench seat and we laid him there to sleep. He slept the entire time.fultons was very busy as it was December 20th.

Definitely will depend on the crowds and layout of the restaurant. I traveled solo with my 4 yr old to Animal Kingdom in April and she was passed out in the umbrella stroller and I successfully ordered and carried lunch for both me and her from Pizzafari. The person ahead of me navigated her double stroller inside so I didn't feel bad wheeling in my stroller to order food. I did see a couple of strollers left outside, but some were also wheeled inside as well. I was able to hold a full tray of food/drinks and push her stroller into the main dining area (which was semi-crowded but had empty tables) to a table that was out of the way/in the corner to eat while my kiddo napped. Crowds were a 5/6 when we went and we went at an early lunch time.

We just returned from a June 5-13 trip. We had two kids in umbrella strollers. We took strollers in every counter service restaurant sleeping or not except Columbia Harbor House (we knew we would be eating upstairs). We were even allowed to leave our sleeping kids in their strollers at Trail's end (a TS restaurant).

We have been lucky enough to bring our double stroller in to quick service places when needed. We even squeezed it into Pecos Bill's when my little one was sleeping. We've definitely had to park it before entering table service.
