I just found out that a double stroller is $31.00 per day. When did this happen? I know I did not pay this our last visit. Singles a little more resonable. My Question is, "will a single stroller be big enough for our son and small cooler? Our son just turned 6 and is 52 inches and 60 pounds. So he is pretty big for his age. has anyone been recently and used a stroller?

Since this is not DVC specific, I am moving it over to our Disney Families board where you will find lots of input..

instead of getting them from the park I am renting a double from a babies best friend. It was $85 for the whole wee. They drop it off at your resort and pick it up at the end of your stay.

The strollers are much smaller then they used to be. I am not sure your son alone would fit in a single, atleast without being smashed.

I've seen a few older kids in strollers the last few days. Their chins are touching their knees. I'd bet your son would be the same. Could he walk? Especially if you take breaks now and then?

We didn't rent one, but when we were there in January, we had my DD5 (47" and 56 lbs) sit in one for a photo. She took up most of the space in a double stroller all by herself! There's no way she would have been comfortable in a single for any length of time - and definitely not while sharing space with a cooler. The newer strollers are so much smaller than the old ones.

Just rented a stroller from orlandostrollerrentals.com. It's the best. $80 for 7 seven days. My 5 year old and 7 year old both fit comfortably. The Disney strollers look really uncomfortable.

In spring of last year (same price), my then almost 3 yr old and my 5.5 yr old were somewhat squished in the double and they are peanuts. They were probably around 42 inches/ 44 lbs and 36 inches/30 lbs.

We used a single at AK during our last trip and a double in MK. My son was 4yrs old at the time. He was about 45lbs. I can't remember his height but he's in the 90th percentile for height, so he's not small.

He fit in the single but there was no room for anything else.

We are renting from Orlando Stroller Rentals. There is no way in H.E.DoubleHockeySticks that I was going to pay $31 a day for a stroller. The swaps are great, but I also didn't want to deal with pick up/drop off arrangements. OSR will do all the work for you. :thumbsup2

I used Orlando Stroller Rentals in March. They were awesome! The stroller was waiting at bell services when we got there, and we just dropped it back off at bell services on our way out. Their double strollers have a 100 lb weight capacity total, so you could stroll him and the cooler around easily. It will also be much cheaper and more comfortable than the ones WDW has, it would be $85 for a week. Delivery is free. :thumbsup2 The web site is: http://www.orlandostrollerrentals.com/ :wizard:

disneysurplus.com has the old Disney strollers for $39.99 and shipping. About $70 and if fits to $75 lbs.
similar style to this, navy color.
