As, I was reading through older threads, I seen where someone mentioned that WDW sells a reclining umbrella stroller in the parks where you rent the strollers from.

Do they still sell them?

I remember last time we went to WDW, we brought our double stroller and it really was a pain with two kids, so I can't imagine how much it is going to be with three children.

So, to save space in the van for traveling and the stress of trying to get two stollers packed up to take transportation.

I was thinking about buying a reclining umbrella stroller for my 7 month old and renting a double stroller from WDW for my 5 and 2 year old.

What do you think?

If you have the room in your van I would bring your own. That's just me. DS will be almost 6 months when we go and while the umbrella one sold at Once upon a toy does recline, his stroller can become dark and I can block out what's around so I know that Mr. Nosey will actually fall asleep.

Maybe this problem can be solved, by the OP, with a sun shade, the big ones they sell that block out everything.

Yeah, mine is nosey too.

He won't probably sleep in the park.

At least that is what I am counting on cause he is so nosey and such a light sleeper.

But, I need to be prepared so that he can if does.

Thanks for the response.

The canopies on the strollers they sell at WDW (at Once Upon a Toy and I've also seen them at BC) are really bad for Florida...they are more like a visor than a canopy. If you are driving, why don't you pick one up when you hit Orlando? You can test drive some at home at BRU, Target, Walmart, etc. so you know exactly what you are looking for. No need to buy at WDW when you have wheels.

I hear ya!

I am already planning on stopping at Target and Walmart when we get there to pick up some Disney stuff, so maybe I don't have to buy as much in the park.

But, as for the stroller, I found one that I thought would do the job I was looking for.

***Actually, I made the hubby go on a hunt during his lunch break today****

<Smacking my hands>

Never the less, this is the one he got,

And he picked me up a shade too.

Haven't seen it yet, cause he is not home from work, but he is the one that has to approve of it cause he will be lugging and packing it.

LOL!:rotfl:

When we were there in 2005 I saw the strollers for sale at POP Century. I also saw them for sale at the WL this past Dec. They are red and pretty nice for $40 (I believe thats the price).

We were at the Poly last month and they still have the red one for $40. We saw them at almost every hotel we stopped at. The one you have from Walmart looks a lot better then the one disney sells.

I think the Disney stroller is ideal for the family who thought their 3 or 4 yr old could walk the whole time. Instead of spending $10-$18/day for a rental the $40 on this red one would be a better deal, but if you can bring your own, that's the way to go.

Have fun!!

I saw the for-sale umbrella strollers at each stroller rental place in the theme parks. I believe they were hanging on a rack by their handles. $39.99 plus tax, if memory serves.

Thanks everyone.

My husband brought home that one from walmart last night, and it serves the purpose.

Compared to my two double strollers, and my single stroller, it is very compact.

No matter what, I won't get out of spending the hundred dollars for a stoller for the week for the other two, because I am sure at some point they are going to want to stop walking.

But, there is no way I can fit my double stroller, and a single stroller in my car.

Or try to break all that down to do Disney shuttle.

I mean I could do it, we can do anything we put our mind to, but do I really want to look insane or wear my self out doing it.

LOL!

Last time we went to Disney my 2 year old was 6 months and my 5 year old was 2.

And we took the double stroller and we used the shuttle every time we went some where.

It was hallarious to watch us break down the double stroller pack all the stuff up in it and put the 6 month old in a baby sling/carrier and old everything else in your hands.

Are the first few times we had a knack for it, but it was a workout.

Can't imagine doing it with one more child and 2 stollers.

LOL!

We would be the entertainment in the shuttle lines for sure.

LOL!
