Strollering Along At The World (Finally!)- A PTR (Feb '12)*TR Started 2/12*

Yeah I knew about Toon Town before but as Nicole said, it's closed off now that much I know. Thanks though :thumbsup2

Awesome! We'll definitely take a ride on the train. Is Barn Stormer still open?

Nope, no barn stormer. :sad1: Maybe it will be incorporated into the new area. :confused3

Yeah, she is going like ten days before

we need to change that

Barnstormer is closed too :sad2:

Betsy, no pressure.

They are keeping Barnstormer, but they are re-theming it and it is going to be something to do with The Great Goofini and have more of a circus theme. I think they have taken it down temporarily.

Suzanne

TEN days!? She NEEDS to change that! Geez!!!

Aww poo :( I was hoping to take Alex on that. Oh well.

She really does :thumbsup2

Betsy, no pressure.

Yeah, definitely being incorporated, just as something new

I thought I had heard they were keeping it :confused3

Yeah really Betsy! I don't even think she's on my pre trippie

Well she needs to boogie on over here!

Otherwise we look a little silly for talking to her! :rotfl2:

I just texted her

Yup...they were burning off

We are not thrilled about the dates of our trip because it's right over Halloween. StinkerBelle is still not sure of missing Halloween at home. I just don't know what to do :confused3 She will have days off of school the week we have scheduled so I hate to not take advantage of that...ugh!!!

Okay.... as much as I'd love for you to go when Kelly and Carla go... I've heard that being in the park on Halloween is fantastic! My doctor (when we lived up north) always took his kids for Halloween... said they went once and loved it so much they made a habit of it.

oooo THANKS for that tip Dan!! Chris doesn't like Soarin' but I love it so that will be great for me! I almost always miss it because I'm the only one that wants to ride it LOL. How long did it take y'all to get through the character spot?

then you should use both of your tickets to get FP's (and alex's?? can you do that?? :rotfl: ) and then by the time you are done with the Character spot, your FP time will be up, so you can ride Soarin twice in a row! (or go back later with one of the FP's if you choose)

Alex won't have a ticket, so no FP for him. Children don't get tickets until they turn 3, or at least they didn't when we took my cousin at 2.

It really is wonderful, especially if you can do MNSSHP, that was alot of fun, even for those of us without children, we even got to trick or treat...lol, my DH loved that. I mean where else can an adult trick or treat, except Disney.

The Boo to You parade is the best one that Disney does. I even bought the party CD and listen to it in the fall.

The parks are all dressed up in their fall finest of oranges, yellows, and brown with pumpkin people on Main Street.

Yay glad you're finally here!

Not sure :confused3 I didn't really pimp much.

Bummer :sad2: they should know that meeting us is more important!

:confused3 I think if it was me I'd take Alex out of school and go on vacation when I damn well pleased. My parents always did. We just brought our school work with us. But I understand why you don't want her to miss.

You're not helping. :rolleyes::laughing:

 ok that's a good idea! I'll do that for sure! Love that ride. Me and james can do that while Becca takes Alex on Nemo and Chris can go ride TT :thumbsup2

Yeah we haven't been there ON halloween but we were there just before and in Sept too and the party is GREAT! The fireworks are awesome too. Very fun all the way around. :thumbsup2

What is the attendance policy in your school?

They dont look at attendance too much until they hit 4th grade I believe. For now, You just need to send in a note when they are absent.

Is Kindergarten all day or half day?

I plan on taking Trent out of school until he hits about 4th or 5th grade.

This past trip he missed 3 days and the next one he will miss just 2.

But, the Halloween Parade is amazing. I love the music

But, you need to do what feels right to your and your DH :goodvibes

I'm glad to hear that! I have to say I'm a little nervous about it being right on Halloween! We haven't missed party in 4 years but it's always been in September or early October. Thanks for the info...if your Doc goes every year on that day, it must be ok!!!

It is one my favorite things! I guess my DD is just used to celebrating Halloween at Disney in September and then having the real Halloween at home. School just has to get in the way of my plans

I want that party CD!!! Just love the parade music :lovestruc

Yeah, we just don't know how Kgarten is going to go so I'm just a little nervous to pull her. She is off 2 days that week and then she'll miss 3 days so I felt like that was better than missing 5. I'm starting to homeschooling is sounding pretty good :rotfl:

I need to look up the attendance policy....I have no idea. Good thought! Kgarten is 1/2 day so she won't be missing much at all!

Did I tell you that I booked WL? :woohoo:

Yeah I totally understand girl.

Yay for WL!! I think we might be downgrading to save some moolah. I don't know. :confused3 I was SO excited for WL that I'm slightly disappointed. I guess we'll see. We're having booking issues.

Where ever you stay, Carla, it will still be awesome! It's Disney!!! With ALEX!!!

It won't matter where you are sleeping and showering, girl! The magical part will be pushing Alex through your happy place in his stroller! :lovestruc

More money left to spend on fun stuff for the little guy is not a bad thing either! :thumbsup2

I tend to agree. I think whichever way it falls, you'll have a great time! I hope you'll be able to stick with WL, just b/c I know y'all haven't been able to do deluxe in a long time, and it might add to the magic. BUT you know I'm a big fan of Pop too
