Does anybody know how much it costs to rent strollers at WDW?

We're debating on purchasing a stroller vs renting.

Our DD5 doesn't use strollers anymore but we think one might come in handy at the parks. Problem is, she's 44" and 42 lbs. She can't fit in the strollers we found that go up to 55 lbs.

Does anybody know of an umbrella-type stroller that can had a child that size?

Thanks

We are in the same boat :boat: We found it much more convenient to rent a double stroller ($15) each day. that way we didn't have to carry it on the buses, boats or monirail. We have two dd's (4&6) who even sometimes don't want to sit anymore. At the end of the day when you returnm your stroller they give you back a disney dollar. The strollers are quite generous in size so a single might be just fine for you. I believe you could also just pay for the week to avoid standing in the lines. Just walk in show them your voucher and off you go. The theme parks and attractions board might generate alittle more response to your question.

We are leaving today also. That is one thing I was curious about as well. I wanted to have a stroller for my 5 year old son and did not know the prices or is I should just bring his old umbrella stroller that we use to go to Kentucky Kingdom.

We have never been to disney and are going for a cheer comp. I only hope that this is worth the money.

My sister is going with my family as well, I thought another set of eyes on my kids was going to be worth her ticket.

You can purchase stroller vouchers in advance and you get a discount. You also get your disney $ when you return it each day. I just did this but I can't remember how many days I purchased, probably 5.

To me it's just easier to rent than to try and take one. I could have bought lots of strollers by now for what I spent on rentals but it's convenience.

I didn't think my dd5 wanted a stroller this past december, but she did. We rented one every day, and it worked out well. She is 50 lbs, and she fit fine, her legs were a little scrunched up, but it was worth it. We also brought a lightweight stroller with us for dd1. It wasn't a problem at all. We had a rental car, so we didn't have to take it on the bus, but we took it on the tram, monorail, ect, and it worked out. It is good to take one with you because it comes in handy at night, around the resorts, dtd, ect.

I'm almost embarrassed to list this, but for the sake of understanding the size of the strollers, here goes. My DD was 4 when we went. We got a double stroller thinking we would pile some of our junk in there. We have a son who was 9 yrs at the time and probably close to 100 lbs. He was jealous of sissy getting to ride when he had to walk (especially at Epcot). So, we let him in too. They actually both fit. Don't get me wrong, it was a TIGHT fit, but still...they could both ride, and did on several occasions.

We had to do this too for our 9yo!!! LOL. Ours is a special need kid so we knew he wouldn't make it a week walking so eventually he ended up in the double stroller. One double for him and a double for the other 2 kids to share. I'm sure we were a sight.....no I know we were a sight. I had to take a picture of him 'cause he just looks like he is spilling out of the stroller; he weighs in at about 85 lbs.
