Stroller rental germs?

Stroller rentals
Do they clean the strollers in between rentals? I just want to know if I should disinfect them before I let my kids jump in. Not to be a germa-phob. but we are traveling during flu season.

I would seriously doubt that they clean them, at least not very often. They are not for really little babies though, as they do not recline. We loved the rentals when our kids needed them (we are happy to be stroller free now) but they were not still sucking on the stroller type babies when we used them so I did not worry about it. I guess you could wipe them down if you feel the need. We just always washed hands before eating and discouraged hand sucking and such.

When I was returning our rental stroller at MK on Saturday I noticed what appeared to be a mini-carwash to the right. I could see a stroller and litter scattered around on the floor -- looking all the world like a place where strollers would be cleaned and detailed. However, I would agree that these aren't disinfected -- the stroller I returned was pushed to the other side and I assume it wasn't going to get the thorough cleaning that would be given the stroller that I saw that had milk dripping through the drain holes in the floor.

If it makes you feel any better, I don't know about the strollers specifically, but I happened to strike up a conversation with a woman who was at Blizzard Beach with her family and has worked at WDW for the last 8 years and she told me that every night after closing, an army of cleaners comes out and literally sprays every inch of concrete in the parks with a bleach/cleaning solution. I was kind of surprised to hear that, made me feel a little better anyways.

Germs will be on the strollers, on the railings, on the seats of rides, on the park benches, in the bathrooms, on the doorknobs of your hotel room...
