I know this question has been asked, but a search came up empty. I need to rent a stroller - either two or a double - and I would like to be able to use it to take back to our hotel so the Disney rental ones are not an option. I called HOJO (we're staying there for a few days before transferring to DLH) and they gave me a recommendation for a place that only rents scooters. So he must have misheard my question. Does anyone know who the best place to rent from is, and would you all recommend two single strollers, or one double?

We have used https://citystrollerrentals.com/ in the past. They were great!
Hmm, yeah I was looking at them but they don't seem to have any strollers that will hold my 5 year old. I might call them, I'm wondering if they're being cautious with their weight limits to avoid adults or teens using them because my 5 year old is an average weight for his height and age, so I'm surprised they don't have anything to accommodate him.

Could you purchase one off of Facebook Marketplace or a cheaper stroller from Target? Might end up being the same price as a full rental would be. Even Walmart, I think they would deliver one to your hotel.

I didn't realize it was $45/day to rent one, it seems like if you need one for 3+ days it would equal out to a cheaper new one.

I was pushing my kids in double stroller at a large zoo similar in acreage to Animal Kingdom, they combined were maybe 15 lbs over the weight limit plus we had our stuff.

In the furthest far away corner of the zoo, a wheel snapped clean off. The plastic itself broke. My boys were only very slightly injured, the bad part was then these 2 overheated and dead tired boys - and I - had to walk at least a mile in total from the back corner to the car, with my carrying WAY more stuff than I would have ever carried without a stroller, while pushing a broken three wheeled stroller that I wasn’t going to just leave there.

It was one of the most physically demanding things I’ve done, I’d compare it to the first day of training camp for football back in high school.

I’d take the weight limits seriously. And you’re going to have a heck of a time finding a stroller rated for a kid over 65 lbs, or a double stroller with a capacity over 100.

How much does your 5-year-old weigh? The singles hold up to 65 pounds. https://citystrollerrentals.com/category/single-strollers/
lol. Yes, I saw the singles, and that's what we'd end up doing. I was looking for a double. He weighs just under 50lbs.

I think I like this option, thanks for the suggestion. We'll be there for a week so it would be quite costly, of course what would I do with the strollers when I need to fly home.

Leave them in the hotel lobby. They’ll wind up in a lost and found and then eventually be either taken home by an employee (likely) or thrown away.

People sometimes post here about a stroller they will be leaving behind. Then you can coordinate with someone who can pick up the stroller at the front desk after you leave.
