Stroller question

We are considering bringing our own stroller to WDW. However, we are flying and have never tried checking a stroller before. Has anyone done this before and have any suggestions on what to and not to do? Should we put the stroller in a big clear plastic bag or just leave loose?

I would gate check the stroller. You get a tag from the gate agent and then you leave the stroller at the entrance to the plane. When you get off the plane the stroller is waiting.
