Can you check a stroller along with your luggage? Thanks.

You probably could, although since I've never tried I cannot say for sure. What we always do is take the stroller through security and then check it at the gate. They put it in the plane right before we take off, and it's waiting for us on the jet bridge when we get off.

It's great because you can just load the kids in the stroller when you get off and make a beeline for baggage claim. No hassle, and you don't have to worry about it getting damaged when it's thrown in with all the other big suitcases.

Just my 2 cents.... :)

Thanks for the info. I have never traveled by plane with one.

we always gate check our stroller as well, but yes, you can check it as luggage. If you are traveling with a small child (assuming you are since you are bringing a stroller, LOL) it will come in handy having it with you until you are ready to board the plane.

You could, but it wouldn't be smart. A stroller can easily have the frame bent if it ends up under several tonnes of luggage. Gate-check it so that it ends up on top.

You can check it in with the luggage, or check it in at the gate.....however more than once I have seen parents staring in disbelief at their broken stroller. We have a combi stroller that came with a carrying bag and carry that right onto the plane, it fits in the overhead and since we don't take many carryons (diaper bag and carseat) we have never had any problems.
