are you asking because you want to put a tag on this for DME to take the stroller to your hotel from the airport?!?!
if so, i wouldnt...imo: your taking a stroller because you have a baby or toddler w/ you... after a long plane ride and not knowing when your luggage will arrive to the hotel, it would be best to keep the stroller w/ you. It will be a lifesaver to you when your child doesnt want to walk around and you have it on hand rather then leaving it behind and carrying him/her everywhere until it arrives.
Oh I know what you mean now...(uh duh on my part since I have used the same abbreviation ) the bright yellow tags to tell airport personal that the item is going to Mickey World!!! Of course.
Now to answer your question...I didnt check my stroller...I used it and checked it at the gate. I folded it up right as we got on the airplane and it was ready when I got out of airplane at MCO.
With that said, I dont see why you couldn't check your stoller with your baggage and use a DME tag. But technically I havent actually done it to tell you for sure. Perhaps a Diser here has done it??? Or you could always call Disney if no one answers definitively.
If you're wanting to check your stroller so you don't see it until you get to the resort, I would rethink that. I've read posts from several people who had their strollers damaged in the baggage "dump." I think you should gate check it and retrieve it when you land. I won't be able to tell you from personal experience for another 21 days, though.
