Stroller Parking Question

Can a stroller stay parked in the same spot for most of the day? It's been years since we needed a stroller, and my youngest two are 4 so they won't need the stroller for the entire day. I'd like to bring a single umbrella more so for getting to the parks and then to hold a backpack with a change of clothes and such (nothing of value) and then have the stroller available for when they're tired towards the end of the day. So my question is, if we enter MK and park our stroller in Tomorrowland, will it stay in the same spot? I know CM's rearrange strollers as needed, so what are the odds of mine staying where I left it 4-6 hours later? Thanks!

As the CMs do move strollers around, I would hate to leave one in a different land/area for too long and then have a hard time finding it when I came back for it 6 hours later. I would suggest moving it as to other lands/areas as you go along. Say in Epcot you are in Future World and park your stroller at Finding Nemo. I would leave it there as I toured Future World and then take it with me as I moved over to the World Showcase and park it at the Fiesta Tour. At MAgic Kingdom, you could park it in Fantasyland and do that whole area and Tomorrowland before moving it over with you to Adventureland area...and so on for whatever park you are at.

We've left ours in the same spot at MK for a while and it did get moved, but was in the same general area where we left it. Just tie something on the handle, tie a balloon to it, or something to help it stand out from all the others.

Where ever you park a stroller, a Cast Member is likely to move it, but they will not remove it.

Personally, I wish Cast Members would wait a little while before they 'consolidate' strollers and move them within a designated stroller parking area.

I dislike greatly (hate is too string a word) when I have to go searching for a stroller and find it facing a different direction in a row far away from where I placed it.

So, that ll being said, park the stroller at one of those small parking areas (like Monsters Laugh Floor) where it should not take too long to locate your stroller that is likely to get repeatedly moved throughout the day.

Great tip, thanks!

we've left ours for hours and it did get moved but only in the same parking area. the CM's won't move it to a different stroller parking. Picking a smaller parking area is a great idea!

I agree. If you want to park the stroller once you enter the park and then your little ones get tuckered out in the back of the park, someone will have to walk back to the front to get the stroller. While it's true that in most cases, you enter and exit through the same gates, your little ones might not want to wait until the very end to sit in their stroller.

We took a small umbrella stroller for my now granddaughter back when she first visited Disney World when she was five. Her mother didn't know if a stroller was needed so we did a cheap option and the Stitch stuffed plush rode in it more than she did. But, it went with us and when the granddaughter wanted a break, Stitch rode in her lap.

just remember if you are going to Animal Kingdom balloons are not allowed, so I would consider something other thaan a balloon to mark srtoller

This is what I was considering too. We have 5 year old twin girls who are used to walking without strollers at our local amusement park and zoo, but I think after several days of visiting parks, they will be tired. I don't want to put them in strollers all day, but it would be nice to have them when we needed them.

I agree with the suggestion of parking it in each land or area of the park you are touring and then moving it with you as you move on. The stroller is most handy in the walk between areas anyway and you will have it closer to you for when you end up needing it.

Our stroller regularly has gotten moved, but always within the same stroller parking area, so it's not that big of a deal to leave it for an extended period of time. I use some bright ribbon on the handle to help pick it out from the bunch.

The last time we took a stroller, we ended up leaving it places for 3-4 hours at a time. As others have said, it may get moved in order to keep things more organized, but it's not like it'll get taken from Futureworld to the Japan pavilion :)

And, as others have said, put something on it to have it stand out from the others. I saw one last year where the Disney-provided name tag read, "This is not your stroller!"

Your stroller may be moved but it wont be far but it sounds like you aren't going to need it much if leaving it for that long. I'd consider going without it. it may be a pain to back track across the park to get it .

The easiest thing to do is tie a bright ribbon with the fa.ily name on it , to the upper push bar. It HP stop folks accidently Taking the wrong stoll er and you can find it fast.

maybe WDW needs valet stroller parking! :flower3:

btw.... last time I was at MK there were so many strollers in Fantasyland that people had a very difficult time even entering the area from Liberty Square. And this was NOT during a holiday time of year or summer

Sometimes they might move it within a stroller parking area, but I have never known them to remove it from an area completely. We left our stroller for hours at a time and were fine.

Last year I tied a brightly colored bandana to the stroller handle and found our stroller every time. On the trip down, I'd used the same bandana on my suitcase.
