Stroller options for 3 kids - Phil & Teds vs Sit n Stand

I am driving myself crazy trying to work out what to do about strollers. My kids are 4, 3 and baby is 8 months. Normally my DD4 walks everywhere, and I use a Phil & Teds for DS3 and the baby, but I know she will need a break at WDW. DS3 does not walk anywhere, and there is no way he will give up his seat so his sister can have a rest. I also use an Ergo for bub when he is restless.

I can bring our Phil & Teds, which is suitable for either DD4 or DS3 and the baby. It will not work for DD4 and DS3 together, as they are both too tall for the toddler seat. I would then need to buy a cheap umbrella stroller.

I can buy a Sit n Stand (probably the Baby Trend one). I have never used one of these as they are not available in Australia, but have seen them when we were at Disneyland in 2007. I was thinking if we did this, I could use it for the older 2 kids and put bub in the Ergo.

Then I was thinking that we may need 2 strollers in case DH and I decide to take the kids to separate attractions. Also, the Phil & Teds is probably more cruise friendly than the Sit n Stand.

We are staying off-site, with a minivan so there is no need to worry about buses etc. Renting is not an option as we are going on a cruise, then spending some time in California.

So, I am officially confused and would appreciate any ideas or suggestions.

Are you sure they are both too tall for the toddler seat? I had my 48 inch ds6.5 climb back there the other day. ;) My 3.5 yo sits back there quite a bit.

I would personally bring the P & T. I betting that if they are tired enough, someone will be willing to hop in the back and have their knees up near their face for the trip to the next ride. :) I'd probably invest in the panier bags so you don't have to use the basket.

Another option is to put the 3 yo in the Ergo. :) We do that quite a bit as well...

I would bring 2 strollers. One for two kids and one for the 4 year old. Even if your child walks everywhere now, at Disney it is more walking than most people plan for and unless your child can walk 5-10 miles a day I would bring another stroller for them. If the child isn't using it you could fold it up and carry it or use it to put other things in until the child needs to ride.

We will be going in 2011 with a 5 year old and two 4 year olds. We will have at least a double stroller and possible a single stroller. There is no way that I would expect those little legs to handle a whole day of walking.

I am thinking with a sit and stand you could put baby up front, 3 y/o sitting on the jump seat and then 4 y/o could squeeze in and stand on the platform. It would be tight if/when you had all 3 in it, but I think it would be doable....mabye??

I like peemagg's idea.

Bring the P&Ts plus a very small-folding, cheapy umbrella stroller. Maybe with some bungee cords you can strap it to the P&Ts frame when not in use.

Thanks for your replies. Funny, I was thinking earlier about how I could attach a small stroller to the Phil & Teds. I had not thought about using the ergo for the 3yo. That is a great idea.
