Our baby girl will only be about 3 months old when we go on our next trip. I am wondering if I would be allowed to take the stroller in for her to sit in while we dine. She will be too small for a high chair. I know they probably have the stands for infant carseats but we wanted to leave it in the room so DS 4 could ride in the stroller in case he wanted to. Any ideas?

I think they will accommodate you if they can, especially if baby is sleeping. However, I think there may not be room in some places. Are you using a sling? That could work great for dining, as well as lines and rides. Have a great trip.

We took DD when she was about 4 months old. I think that we took the stroller into every restaurant. They might encourage you to leave it outside, but if you ask nicely to bring it in, I bet you'll have no problems.

We were allowed to bring our stroller into most restaurants and that was during Christmas when it was crowded. But, I only asked when one of the kiddos was sleeping.

I know at Chef Mickeys for sure, can't remember where else, but they had one of those highchairs with a carrier for infants.

Have fun!!

We brought our big full sized stroller once and had no trouble in the restaurants. Most places were very accomodating!

Our youngest was about 3 months old when we went last September and here is where we ate and what were able to do (we had a Peg Perego P3 stroller):

Chef Mickey's...they had infant-style highchairs

San Angel Inn...not sure if they had the infant highchairs but I just put her in pouch sling

Cape May Cafe...we took her stroller in

Le Cellier...we took her stroller in

Ohana...we took her stroller in

Marrakesh...we took her stroller in

Garden Grill...they had infant-style highchairs

Hoop Dee Doo...we brought her stroller in (although they did say that if it seemed to tight we might have to take it out but we were fine)

:goodvibes Most restaurants accomodated our 4 mos. old in her stroller. Only one asked us to put her in an infant high chair because of space issues. She was very comfortable in the infant chair and slept throught the meal, so it wasn't a problem at all.

So what is the infant high chair, is it the same as the wooden high chairs that every restaurant has or is it specifically for infants that can not sit up?

No, it is like a wooden high chair but it is made for infants. It has an actual infant seat attached to the top. The seat has foam padding and I laid one of my own sheets over it in case it wasn't all that clean. I know we used this chair at Chef Mickeys.
