Stroller for Twin Four Year Olds? (m)

Okay, I know the stroller thing has been discussed repeatedly - but...

What would you recommend for two tall but not heavy almost four year olds? My son is tall and heavy (and will be just turned five).

Any thoughts for me?

I'm leaning towards buying - but if more of you think renting is a better choice, I'd do that instead

check your local craigslist for double maclaren strollers being sold.

Even if you buy one used for $150 and use it for 1 week at disney, you can still resell it for what you bought it for.

Renting a double is $18 a day.

Maclarens seem to hold the most weight and are easy to push.

Or just buy one single volo or quest off craigslist and use it for both kids, by taking turns. Volo you can probably buy for $50 used.

We have 5 year old twins & a four year old- I usually only bring a single and they switch off.

On our trip back in June we rented a double for our 5-year old twins. But only for about half of the trip. They did great walking some days and riding on others.

I used a side by side umbrella stroller when my kids were 3 and 5. I think it was a Graco. But that was a while ago. Certainly not the Rolls Royce of strollers, but I found this easy to maneuver and lightweight. It also did a fine job of holding DD3 and DS who was really not a baby anymore at 5-years-old and about 45-50lbs. We used this when we went on vacation or to the boardwalk and I didn't want to be taking my mammoth double that I had at home. I never rented strollers because they always seemed too large and cumbersome and plus...I have a thing about all those germs and not knowing how well they clean the strollers (if at all) in between uses. Also cost was a factor and then having to dump the kids out once we got to the gates of the park so we could return it was another consideration. Nothing worse than having to wake up a sleeping child so you can give the stroller back.
