Strobe lights and Universal Studios

We are taking a family trip to both Universal and Magic Kingdom this coming September. Our future DIL experiences seizures caused by strobe lights. I've found great information on the Magic Kingdom and any rides that may be of concern for her. I also found a decent list for Universal Studios attractions. I cannot find much information for Islands of Adventure. Does anyone have a list of attractions that use strobe lights? Or know where I can find one?

Besides that ^ doc, if you ever have any questions make sure to ask the team members at the front of the attraction (there is always someone standing by). Not only is there a warning sign in front of the entrance but each employee is trained to know about all the warnings.

As a note, if there is a ride everyone wants to go on but she can't, they let people walk through the line and take a "chicken out" exit before getting on the ride vehicle. That way, she can hang out with everyone, leave right before you get on the ride, and then meet up with you at the exit. I like doing this option because I hate standing outside in the heat, wondering how much longer everyone is going to take. However, if she does this make sure to ask if there are any strobes used in the queue line.

This document contains that info for both Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure

Hope that helps

Thank you! I will definitely check that out.

Thank you! That is very helpful. We have done plenty of trips to both Universal and Disney but this will be our first trip with someone who has seizures due to strobe lights. She wants to do everything but I want her to be able to have realistic expectations.

Honestly looking through that doc is looks like a lot of things have strobe seizure warnings. She should take a look at it. Two suggestions I have is that:

1) Someone can take a look at a YouTube video of the ride and get a look at what part might be seizure inducing. That way she can get a better idea how long/bright/intense the strobes are. Sometimes the strobes are bright flashing lights vs true strobe lights.

2) If she feels comfortable with it (and that's a BIG if) she could potentially ask the team members when the strobes happen and she could potentially close or cover her eyes at that one part. But once again, that's still a big risk, especially if the information is off or if she doesn't remember when the moment comes. Also, on a roller coaster, the force of the coaster might be intense enough that it's hard to move your arms (for example, Hulk's take off). The chest restraints might also make it hard.

Also, I don't see it on the guide, but the nighttime show at USO might have flashing lights. There are at least fireworks which are bright.
