stripped resale contracts

Keep your eyes opened, and don't despair. We bought 100 SSR toward the end of last year that had all '09 points banked. We needed the points more than we needed the "bargain" of a stripped contract.

I hope you find something just right...are you on the e-mail lists for the brokers?

Boy, it sure seems like almost everything is stripped!
Is that just the way it is now?

I just checked our listings (The Timeshare Store, Inc.®) and did a quick count and counted more than 132 listings that had points "currently available." This, of course, would not include February, March, April, June, August, September, October and December use years. Those use years would have points coming on 2/1/10, 3/1/10, etc.

I am thinking stripped contracts would be something that doesn't have any points coming until 2/1/11 or later. The Timeshare Store, Inc.® has some of those listings and they typically sell for less per point and be advised those buyers don't pay any dues until 2011.

Best of luck in your search. If you do not receive our email updates please send an email to sales@dvcstore.com with your first and last name. We do get new listings all the time and some with banked points from 2008 and with over 11,000 people on the list they do sell quick.

This is one reason I bought direct. I couldn't find the "ideal" contract and when they did come up they were gone when I called.
You have to be very patient to find the right contract. (I was not patient enough) I know they exist though. Good luck

Yeah I checked the resale and couldn't find any BCV pts that had 09 pts in the 75pt range in my UY. If I figure going direct and subtracting the 09 $10pt value of banked pts I was equivalent of $90 pt if I bought the resale with only 2010 pts. Not sure how accurate the math is as it was a rough estimate and the pts were in my account within 2hrs, made a ressie at that time too. I know what you mean about patient and I didn't see any BCV loaded in the sub 100 pt range. Not to mention getting hit by the ROFR monster twice last year was a pain. I'm usually an advocate of resale but in some cases you gotta do what you gotta do.

I watched the Timeshare Store daily emails for six months until I was able to find a contract with the resort, use year, and size that I wanted. It worked out and I was able to get a 75 pt contract that even had 2008 points banked.

Keep watching, but act fast if you find something that matches your wants.

Cap is correct. If you are looking for a small listing and you see one on The Timeshare Store's website, call our office.

Small listings do sell very quickly. It is not unusual for a small listing to sell the first day it is listed (sometimes within hours). Calling is the best way to have your questions answered and end up with the property that works for you.

We are open 7 days a week and are here until 9 pm on weekdays, 6 pm on weekends, eastern time.
